Phil Collins originally wrote this song while working on his first single album "Face Value." He admits he has no idea what the song is about, and the video is supposed to reflect the fact he had no idea what to for a video, so he just took ideas from others. Great song though. Great beat to it.

This is what he claims. A Greek songwriter had written the song because of his wife and her name was susy."Susy Don't you lose my number" because after a terrible fight she ran away and cried "I never coming back!" and he believed her and everything that still connects both was the number. This whole song has a romantic meaning of course Phil COllins have no idea what the song is about because how can someone know the meaning of lyrics when he changed it and not even written by himself

It's called Light and Shadows... He's in the dark.

Remember this video is dated 1985 not 2003... They didn't have computer fade and stuff back then... All he would have done was throw on a black wig or use shoe polish on his hair, which he didn't do.
