I am desperate to read that some people have not understood that this parody makes a fool of BOTH Sarkozy and Merkel.

The Germans are not proud of this portray of Merkel, they show her intentionally ridiculous, delusional and megalo. And also she knows how to get Sarkozy in her bed!

I think some people are unable to grasp the humor of other people, especially when it comes from the Germans since they are their excuse not to reflect about their own history i.e. they are not allowed to be funny!

Excellent! I knew of this in its original form from German colleagues and this new adaption also very funny. Proves the Germans do have a sense of humour after all. Soon they will be able to laugh about gassing all those jews and also about Dresden etc getting the benefit of RAF re-development. Hohohohoho. Happy New Year, lets see who is happy at the end of it.

This is very funny. The original was in English in the best music hall tradition and the Germans seem to be able to cope with that. Once you get the idea the sub-titles juist give you a few hints. The genius is in the tone and actions. Anybody who can't get it should concentrate on watching so-called american comedy on day time tv which doesn't have sub-title because its viewers can't read.

I think this works well in Germany because the sketch is so familiar to them - I'd never heard of it until today. It glosses over a large part of the scene so assumes viewers know it by heart. I guess the joke comes from an idea that only two people are running the summits (others departed) however one's delusional and the other's an incapable drunk. Who said there's no truth in comedy?
