I loved The Lost Symbol. It's quite similar in style to his other books, so if you like Angels and Demons / The DaVinci Code, you'll definitely like this as well.
The only problem is finding something to read after you've exhausted Dan Brown's books. I'm reading Daniel McNeet's 'Operation Downfall' right now, and I really love it. I think other Brown fans would enjoy it, as well! It has the same 'suspense thriller' air about it.

Thumbs up if you knew Mal'akh was Zachary Solomon before you read chapter 119! Awesome book, as usual! After you read any of his Robert Langdon novals you finish incredibly surprised at who's who and what happens and you feel like you've learned something. Whether it's a moral lesson our an intellectual one. Dan does his homework and hits another one out of the park! I found myself multiple times while reading, stopping to show my parents something on the dollar bill, etc. He's the Master!
His writing is brilliant and detail oriented...you really can't go wrong with Brown. I just finished Deadly Portfolio: A Killing in Hedge Funds by John J. Hohn. I'm amazed how people create fictional stories and wish I had the same talent as these authors. Keep on writing!

I read the Deception Point and I loved it. I'm reading the Lost Symbol and I'm loving it. But seriously, in the beggining of his books, he claims that all technologies he talks about exist and basically everything he says in his books are true... but I don't believe most of the "extrordinary" facts he claims in his books...

Dan Brown is an incredible author who weaves fact and fiction with consummate ease. I found all of his novels to be immensely entertaining as well as fascinating. Well done Dan, you truly are a prodigy of the literary world.

Some people call novels and their stories "thinly veiled autobiographies" and I would have to agree with this concept in Brown's case. I see so much of Langdon in him, from his intellectual brilliance to his style of dress. Both are a direct reflection of himself.

I am amazed that he was a sceptic! His books have been a true inspiration for me. He's funny and intelligent...and he understands what it's all about. Maybe one day all WILL be revealed? History is filled with outright lies, but there is enough truth and fact out there for its main purpose: to teach. Dan Brown does literally YEARS of research before confirming facts, albeit in a fictional setting. What he's trying to do is to get people of all belief systems to come together in HEALTHY, MATURE DIALOGUE. Not finger-pointing blame-games. With death threats against him, he believes so much in his messege that he keeps going. I admire his courage AND his messege.

I'm doing a report on this guy in English and I have to say, he's one of my favorite authors. I really liked Digital Fortress, and now I'm reading The Da Vinci Code. Great books, if you haven't read them you really should!

I read the Deception Point and I loved it. I'm reading the Lost Symbol and I'm loving it. But seriously, in the beggining of his books, he claims that all technologies he talks about exist and basically everything he says in his books are true... but I don't believe most of the "extrordinary" facts he claims in his books...

Yeah, you're right about the technology thing but you have to understand is fiction what we are reading so i think it should be obvious that he exaggerates some facts. Is my opinion only, i totally respect your point of view ;).

Dan Brown is an incredible author who weaves fact and fiction with consummate ease. I found all of his novels to be immensely entertaining as well as fascinating. Well done Dan, you truly are a prodigy of the literary world.

the book is so unbelievable bad, pseudo sciene, to many cliffhangers without any sense, raising question with plain stupid answers....
sometimes an author just has to write one book which is innovative or contains somehow "new" ideas and he is made, brown repeats his own ideas and his readers follow basically every bullshit he writes...
i am just dissapointed by the lost symbol

Maybe if he grew up in Israel, or Turkey he'd write about Islam...remember it's just fiction. If you're Catholic don't let a writer offend you or affect your faith...after all, they ARE just novels....

Some people call novels and their stories "thinly veiled autobiographies" and I would have to agree with this concept in Brown's case. I see so much of Langdon in him, from his intellectual brilliance to his style of dress. Both are a direct reflection of himself.

I am amazed that he was a sceptic! His books have been a true inspiration for me. He's funny and intelligent...and he understands what it's all about. Maybe one day all WILL be revealed? I am not putting down any religion as I believe they are all important in their own right and whatever works for someone is in my opinion a very good and important thing in life. I don't agree with those that misinterpret these symbols though and cause harm and destruction. Sadly they are blind to the 'truth'

The lost symbol was utter crap, the book was not detailed enough in the science part. And the book generally makes claims of theory's that is mumbo jumbo in reality.

History is filled with outright lies, but there is enough truth and fact out there for its main purpose: to teach. Dan Brown does literally YEARS of research before confirming facts, albeit in a fictional setting. What he's trying to do is to get people of all belief systems to come together in HEALTHY, MATURE DIALOGUE. Not finger-pointing blame-games. With death threats against him, he believes so much in his messege that he keeps going. I admire his courage AND his messege.
