These storks vising your country on their way south are most probably from Poland, my country:) We have got the biggest stork population in the world.

It is a cold frosty and sunless winter now in Poland, so the storks' nests are left empty and waiting for their return in spring. Then, they will lay egss and raise young storks.

Storks are symbol of newborn babies in Poland and very liked animals.

Your film has almost made me cry:)

May be, most of the East European Stork Colonies are migrating over Istanbul, the Others over Gibraltar, they use the shortes way over Ground, they dont prefer to fly over Sea, due there is no thermals...
