i got it today and the nurse filled up 4 tubed or viales of blood and you just turn your head and dont look it hurts the first 2 seconds and then it pinces when they take it out

Wow... She stabbed you for sure. I'm in phlebotomy school and NONE of us would EVER go that fast or that deep. Plus she didn't re-sanitize after she found your vein. Horrible draw.

Dont worry, todays needles are much smaller and easier to use, i dont mind getting my blood taken, just breathe easy, relax and think about random things, before u kno he presses a button and the needle retracts really fast, at least thats the way they do it at my hospital.

once i was getting my blood taken and the woman stuck in the needle and then took it out and told me i wasn't bleeding. i was like "CRAP" cause she had to stick it in my other arm and when she was done i almost fainted and i had to sit ther like an idiot with my head on the table drinking water

@humbuzztube i was a phlebotomist before. alot of people sterilize, then use the same alcohol swab to swipe their own finger before re-palpating. i didn't see if she did that, but that's most likely what she did.

Dont worry, todays needles are much smaller and easier to use, i dont mind getting my blood taken, just breathe easy, relax and think about random things, its only a slight pinch in the begining, the rest is painless, its just blood flowing into the tube nothing else, before u kno he presses a button and the needle retracts really fast, at least thats the way they do it at my hospital. But trust me its only a pinch, the rest is nothing.
