  • this woman is deluded

  • Manufacturing? that ship has sailed

  • @captcrais101 In May he was there and voted against it. I looked at the record.

  • Comment removed

  • Please don't make excuses for Obama.

  • This woman belongs on NPR.

  • Naive.

  • heather needs to wake up to the NWO behind the scenes.

  • Manufacturing back without workers' rights? No, Heather, we don't need that nor do we want that. Better nothing from Obama, than that. Over half the states are "right to work" states & G. M. is Obama's idea of socialism? You think with 4 more yrs. of him that you're going to see a different Obama? He should have invited Congress to Disneyland for the SOTU. They would all have felt at home & on their own turf. If you're fed up with the Dems & the GOP status-quo & lies, then vote for Ron Paul.

  • this woman is sweet and smart, and has really good listening skills, but to say manufacturing was the important part of the speech, knowing the facts of what occurred, doesn't make good sense.

  • Socialist crap. Obama doesn't care about workers. He uses them as pawns. Unions kill companies and make union leaders powerful. Unions are used to launder money which gets funneled back to democrats.

  • @shadowbankers - yours is correct analysis, it's good to know some minds understand.

  • @shadowbankers Yeah Pensions, health care, safe working conditions, child labor laws, 8 hour work day, Workers comp are really killing the companies. Corporatist drone.

  • @shadowbankers Mostly Republicans and democrats in both house passed indefinite dentition of Americans to be done our own military, NDAA. The most fascist law ever and you want to talk about socialism. KISS MY LIBERAL ASS JERK!!

  • @captcrais101 Funny how you didn't actually address what I said. You deflected and ignored the facts, then called me names. Wow, you ARE a liberal. However, you were correct about NDAA. That is an issue that everyone across the political spectrum should be outspokely against.

  • @shadowbankers Yeah and many tea Party republicans like Allen West voted for it.

  • @captcrais101 Hello? What did I just say? I said you were correct. Yet you still won't address the things I said about unions. Interesting.

  • @shadowbankers Sorry just that I am sure you voted republican in elections so you may have voted for someone who supported this. As for me only my senator Kerry voted for this and I have stopped supporting him a long time ago. I campaigned and voted for his primary challenger Ed O'reilly. I think only one mass Congress person voted for this, Tsongas and she is not my Rep. Mine is McGovern and he voted against it.

  • @captcrais101 More republican congressmen voted for it than dems. But it was about equal on the senate side, 93 to 7.

But my presientential candidate is the only one who publicly opposes it. My candidate introduced legislation to remove the language which allows detention of US citizens. My candididate wants to promote trade with other nations rather than bomb little kids in the middle of the night. My candidate defends my/your/our civil liberties every single day.

    His name...RON PAUL

  • @shadowbankers Ron was not there for the vote which makes him a coward. Actions speak louder than words.

  • @captcrais101 he voted NO on House Vote On Passage: H.R. 1540: National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012.

    govtrack .us /congress/vote .xpd?vote=h2011-375

  • @shadowbankers I printed the vote from the house records and Ron was not there to vote. That is why he is a coward. He was not present. The records do not lie.

  • @shadowbankers I am awaiting a response as to this issue. However, I know for a fact that he voted against Patriot Act.

  • SOTU looks alot like STFU

  • ROBOTS WILL REPLACE YOU SOONER OR LATER SO WAKE THE FUCK UP MORONS!

THEY DONT NEED MOST OF YOU GET IT?

  • @FIZZEL415 Even robots need humans to keep them functional. But the capital investment required in robotics makes it somewhat prohibitive (especially in smaller manufacturing operations). So even though "machines" have displaced "old-style" labour, it is still a requirement to have a human component involved; just in a different capacity.

  • @heckler73 fcall it what you want to but it is sick!

you dont get it and i see that, keep dreamin

  • @heckler73 what was you saying robots need humans to fix them?

    watch?v=agUN-X5-XsQ

  • We have Manufacturing morons in this CUNTREE! it's called ROBOTICS!

  • Obama is full of shit bottom line!

  • Americans were warned about the jobs overseas situation in the '80s, publicly and often. Lots of good issues raised here. I grew up in the States hearing a huge amt of anti-union talk and while I understand many of the issues here, I thought this was a bad thing. Studying labor relations formally was a real eye opener for me and I am now an employee delegate in France, where I had to move to get healthcare. Uprated.
