  • What is the title song at the beginning or if you can link

  • Well, basically, what you can do is if you have a belt driven deck, unscrew the bolt that leads to the spindle, remove the spindle, platter, and belt. Take the belt, wrap it around the platter, twist it once and connect it to the wheel {that spins the platter} and it shall play in reverse. Your welcome!!

  • nice done

  • man....im surprised with this....couldnt imagine how....!

  • lmao awesome

  • this is my very first video i watched on your channel :)

  • ive been looking for that song forever. does anyone know what it is

  • @musicman1818

    Satisfaction, by Daft Punk

  • @KVAmusic

by Benni Benassi not Daft Punk...came out late 2002

  • so cool! :-)

  • you look like mcnulty from the wire

  • you should put the tape on the bottom instead of the cotton reel and another one on the top, it would be more stable

  • your the man, man

  • I saw a DJ do this in a DMC battle once just don't remember the year. I usually clean the inside with a electronic cotton swab with the wooden sticks with a very small amount of metal polish and it works perfect. Makes the small rods that touch from the head shell to the tonearm shine. I usually have to do this like 1 every 4-5 months sometimes longer.

  • I'm watching this with no sound... did he just say "lick it" for your cartridges?... DON'T DO THAT! - use a pencil eraser (a good on that doesn't leave red marks across paper) it will remove dirt and oxidization. A pencil eraser will also fit inside the tone arm. Just apply light pressure and spin the eraser in the mount socket (not too fast, not too hard and blow out eraser shavings when done). Only thing in history you would need to lick for better contact would be stamps.

  • Dont lick the contacts. Saliva is corrosive.

  • @thedjgary how can saliva be corrosive when its a liquid?

  • @tech12mods dude....hydrochloric acid is a liquid....

  • @ItsRobbieHutchFTW and it corrodes metals,,its not corrosive itself,,,read a book.

  • @tech12mods You were looking for Oxidizing. Corrosion an oxidation are different. You are on the right track though - you knew not to lick your components (I can't even reach my own so that's out of the question). Google "oxidation corrosion" there is a link from ndt-ed that will explain it all... too bad licking doesn't fix anything... things either corrode or become harder and leak over time.

  • @tech12mods Are you really telling me that a corrosive substance can not be a liquid?

  • @thedjgary i never said that anywhere,,,people have a hard fucking time reading,,,,i said "the liquid itself" can not corrode,,,in other words if the liquid floated in mid air,it would never ever ever corrode,,,understand yet...this is like 8 months old,,read something else!!!fuck!!!

  • Cool!

  • is emri paper a good idea ???

  • wait why would u do this? i mean play a record backwards?

  • ...curiosity?

  • U Fucke up prik ur da ediot ere

  • waht about upside down scratching?

  • @123lott123 yeaahhhh want tot that

  • @123lott123 yeaahhhh want to see that

  • Twat.

  • definitely a button

  • What about a video playing a full set upside down ! lol

  • Satisfaction.....noitcafsitaS

  • Interesting little tweek, but one point of interest, by reversising the headshell and cartridge by 90 degrees, you've also reversed the left and right together with the polarities. Also the grond pin (for the cart, which in turn goes to the ground lead) would surely not be connected so that hum may well re-appear. Of course I could be wrong, but I've modded many headshells and styli in my time, would you not need to have a second headshell and cart and cross wire it to wprk properly?

  • @producerben I know I'm 3 month's late but wouldn't that be a 180 degree flip.Did he say 90.Shit I don't know.......But hey don't you think the polarities would not be a problem since the needle is at the beginning of all and any inputs on Turntables. I mean I know the issue is possible, but realized?True left and right should suffer though for sure.Things that make a DJ go ,Hmmmm?

  • You have great videos. But this here, is a fking meaningless video. Are you fking kidding me. You dont have time to bullshit with tape, cotton reels, and bullshit at the lounge.

  • what song was that at the beginging?

  • im pretty sure licking the contact is bad, i think qbert even talks about this in one of his dvds

  • cool video

  • first he said it looks good then all of a sudden it looks silly. i think this dude is silly as shit i wonder if he has a real job besides showing the world how to manipulate turntable to do dumb shit :)

  • kool-I actually have been doing this since the early 1990s! seriously-so what about playing with the TURNTABLE upside down? I'm SERIOUS! it can be done!

  • Earth cable ?? I guess that's the groung people.I thought this was sooooooo stupid til he got to the "What looks more impressive part".Now I want to do it.. DAMN !!

  • They call it "earth" in England.

  • clever and amazing... haha

  • I thought this was one of his funny videos. Turns out it was quite smart and impressive.

  • looks good - good grief are you kidding

Technics SL-1200 are overhyped and too expensive

400 quid to use that arrangement to play a disc backwards - embarrassing

and the irony is you mention using a Stanton Cartidge

listen just go out and get a Stanton T-90 and guess what?!!! it has a 'Reverse Button' :P

a cotton reel - good grief unbelievable

  • You say that but my 1210s are 22 years old and still going strong after lots of abuse, never been serviced etc. I know lots of djs who bought Stantons or Vestaxs and they kept breaking down. Technics might be basic but they are proven to be reliable. Oh and 400 quid will buy you a perfectly good pair of reconditioned 1210 that'll last another 20 years or so.

  • @mistacoz - spot on my friend. I've had mine since 1984 and apart from a broken armrest (my fault!) hey have never given me any problem.

  • i Love those cypress hill slip mats

  • why not take a tech manual, take the turntable apart and change the drive rotation, and reassemble the unit?

  • ha. wow. never crossed my mind to do that..sweeeeet

  • That is the most original thinkin I've ever seen!!! lol Good Job Man!!

    -DJ Bass

  • Ron Hardy RIP

  • Hallo leute

was ist das für ein Mixer???

  • hahaha that is the freshest shit ever. "pressing a button, or playing the record...UPSIDE DOWN"

  • nice

  • How about that for thinking outside the box! :D

  • haha Brilliant ...now try that with a CD player

    vinyl 4 life ;)

  • i HAIL to that 1 good man ....... death to all cd's & MP fookin FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEE

    \0/

  • @XHALE303 flip the reverse switch.

  • pressin a button

  • lmao. yea dude pressing a button. thanx though

  • how ghetto but very thoughtful

  • HAHAHAHA simple and brilliant...jesus i wish i still played vinyl out just for that trick. for serious.

  • i seen that licking your connections will eventually corrode the metal. At some point you will have rely on the mositure to make the connection and you will constantly having to lick your turntables... SO DON'T DO IT!

  • Im sure by the time the metal corrodes from licking the connections, you'd be due for a new needle anyways as it would of worn out by then.

  • well, its happening to me and I wish the solution was as cheap and easy as that!

  • Brilliant lol

I thought first it was just a joke and then he tells to spin it backwards with the fingers ! But no !! He really did it haha

Nutter but a very creative one xD

  • Thats cool as fuck haha, you're accent makes it better

  • if you cannot find a chopstick, use the screwdriver packed with the M44-7 (the thick part facing down).

instead of gaffa tape you can use a stack of 4-5 CDs..

  • Thats soo lunchin i would have NEVER thought of that

  • why don't technics just add a reverse switch

  • that would be nice, but then again that just looks wicked

  • cool ticks!!!

  • Dj mysterio performed this trick & another nice routine in the 1997 dmc usa dj finals .He positioned 2 records like gears on one turntable causing one record to play in reverse, without removing the headshell.

  • This a very old trick. Grandmaster dee of whodini was doing this in the 80s he even spoke about it in the rapattack book by david toop.

check out dj mysterio ,dj woody or turntable artist Christian Marclay for some amazing record tricks.

  • hah... that wud look really stupid at the club...

  • That's NICE !

  • Nice!!

  • that is fucking decent!

  • that is sweet!

  • yeah all fine and dandy you made it easy to play a record backwards, but when r u goin 2 play a record backwards in a set?

  • I'v actually heard of a song by stevie wonder where they had great success taking some affects off and flipping the upside down. And there's backmask, subliminal messages, etc.

  • I like these videos' this guy aint showin off like all the other benders out ther he achulllly wants to help

    nice one m8

  • I have watched practically every video tutorial You have here. Thanks Thanks THANKS! I have new t.80`s at home, got them yesterday, thanks to you I have few ideas how to improve and do stuff! Thanks man, really!

  • wtf :D

  • It might be a good quick fix if you are in a jam but licking the contacts really isnt a good idea, it will work but it will actually make it worse long term. Far better to actually clean them properly.

  • yeah very good point.

  • thats smart, kumbo wants a slap!

  • hahaha thts mad:) very innovative:P and yh it definately looks more impressive:P, nice 1 met;) yu tips always come in handy x

  • wow i lick my headshell to when it starts buzzing

  • thats sick! i would have NEVER thought of that. the other week i saw dj marky at thekla in bristol and he picked up the deck and held it upside down, not just that but he was doing some of the sikest scratching ever! duno how he did it. he changed the headshell for it tho

  • HAHAHAHAHA

  • b i was told of some guy bak in the day who used too sup up deck for scracth djs an ive needed too see him ut now u have answerd my probs with the speeding deck an the some times buzz plus settin my arms rite thank god i can carry on mixin now with destruction an mad beats thanks again b

  • hahaha that's the coolest thing ive ever seen haha you're a genius!

  • how is that stupid?? i bet you could never of thought of that you cunt!

  • lol, he may look ugly to you but probably has the skills to blow your fucking mind away. Respect to DJ Tutorial for helping the young ones. -Stoky

  • haha....genius

  • dam fool your giving up secrets that people shouldnt know about....i was doing this trick in the early 80s

  • nice one mate

  • one advantage of this...the needle is playing the record the same 'normal' direction as before! just reversing rotation does not do this, it 'pushes' the needle the other way. Would this assist with dirt falling off the record while playing?

  • i remember mr c showing how you do that in dj magazine fucking years ago. Still i tried it and managed to mix 2 copies of renegade master together....it does work.

  • So glad you showed me this. 8 years ago an X-BUDDY of mine stole my technics and I finally got another to start spinning with. I went digital since, but now I am back, so glad you showed me this new (to me) trick - TRUE SHOWMANSHIP!

  • I'm a button presser too. But that's a quick fix.

  • What song is this?

  • benny benassi - satisfaction

  • NEVER lick the contacts man, you make the situation even worser! Have you heard about corosion!!?? I hope you did!

  • Stainless steel???allthough i aint lickin my contacts anytime soon !!

  • they don't generally make contacts with stainless steel to my knowledge. often gold is used to resist corrosion.

  • haha "worser"

  • Holly motherfucka!=0

Is there anything about TTblism that you havent done yet?=0

All my answers r in your blog!thnks a lot! ;)

  • I love your vids pal! Soo true. What looks more impressive? :-)

    I'm just pressing a button. :-(

  • very clever

  • I'll never need to do this but it's something I've never seen.Pretty cool.

  • helo there i know its nothing to do with the title of this vid but is there any chance you cud do a vid on the correct actural weight of the needle on a record ie like a real close up of the needle on the record in your opinion, its being bugging really for years i start of with the counter weight so the the needle is just about touching the record but how much more wieght do you actural need? thanks if you cud help

  • hi, i'm sure i have done this one , goto djtutor dot com and click on tutorials then goto tips , i think, so many videos! LOL j

  • LOLerskates. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT over an object that can't even talk... Anyhow, one other cool trick to use in cleaning the tone arm is a wooden pencil eraser. THe rubber will rub off any dust or gunk that gets in their. Just blowing will put some moisture in the tonearm which may worsen the problem. Anyhow, great vid mate.

  • Back to the same TECHNICS-vs-everything topic. sick tired of that. MARRY YOUR DECKS, THEN!

The 1200 is a SICK GREAT turntable, but not the best and only option. depends on what you want to do.

  • I LICK EM LOL WAT A GUY

  • fuckin excellent were did u learn this i bet you just thought ov it u nutter well good though shame im a sell out sold tertables only got my cdj,s but gettin a set ov 1200 very soon will go for the mark 3 maybe hopfully ebay might bring me a bargain ,there is deffonatly a difference in 1200,1210,s pitch would u say 1200,s luverly to mix on

  • wak trick

  • its a nifty trick,........o i think i forgot summin.........o yea, CDJ'S! n there for pussies. sry just had to throw that out there. as far as decks go, rafik, qbert, netik, troubl any scratch pro whos a REAL pro will choose techs over vestax any day, n dj krush 1 of the best mixers ever chooses the same thing, these guys r REAL djs bcuz there hand is on a RECORD which will always sound better then any CD.

  • vestax is the turntablist turntable, while technics are more for mixing now a days. atleast that they way i see it.

  • Technics, the SL series, are by far the best ever turntables and no other turntable will ever come close to matching their quality! FACT!

  • i just didn't get why should a person do that..

  • interesting

  • For all the pricks dissing this video

Nobody would do it in a club for starters and if any of you have any sense, dont bother buying vestax because they are fuckin shite!

  • vestax are a quality deck mate.ive used technics and vestax and vestax is far superior to technics.

  • So explain 1 thing ? 1 major factor in the world of DJ ing ? If Vestax are superior to Technics then why does every major club, bar and private party in Ibiza use Technics ?

And all the clubs worldwide ? its a simple answer

  • because its the industry standard.clubland is slow to change.pioneers are now the industry standard cdj.even if a better turntable comes out it wont be used over pioneer.technics basic design hasnt changed in 20 years

  • turntables now have the usb capabilities, have cd players built into them more torq.read some reviews in mixmag idj m8 any fucking dance mag and they will tell you vestax and the numark tt deck is superior to the technic.its just the industry wont change.oh and by the way most big clubs and bars have cdjs now, most dont even bother with turntables

  • most clubs do have turntables... nd there most likely to be technics... jst most of club djs prefer the cdjs... nd yeh vestax nd numark mite offer more... but there build quality nd the time they last will not match technics

  • technics will neveer need to change there design pitch anything they invented tertables vestax stanton and all other decks have only recently come up to technics level over the last 7 to 10 yrs i would say technics were invented too be strong and durable vestax lacked that for many yrs woblly not very good pitch quartz is amazing compared to other pitch

  • haha what a belta this man nars the score!

  • what da mother fucker ??? why don't u cut it off ?!

  • haha.. this shit isn't science.. some of you act like it is.. but i agree with gnipz.. if you want to play your records back just by a turntable that can do it..... besides.. if you ever want to play a records backwards its something you generally do for a couple seconds.. this is fuckin' stupid like the rest of you ass wipes.....

  • Interesting tip, I dont think im gonna risk it tho.

  • oh my god this chap needs to stop making these tutorials,if you want to play your records buy a vestax deck that allows you to do this.people will laugh at you if you even attempted this in a club

  • shut your whining face gnipz .. make some f**king better videos if you think you're so good and then come back and bitch. Dj tutor, nice vid.

  • Very smart....But this trick also damage your stylus....Don't do this....

  • always wanted to know how to do that, thanks!

  • phenomenon!! well done ellaskins!! =D

    Big up from 974!

  • A TRYED THAT :)) IT WORKS HAHA

  • haha great trick, never going to perform it live tough

  • wow lol, very creative :)

  • dfgdfg

  • :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

  • he's a legend!, how the f-uck did he counger up that idea!? lol!!

  • Dude, you are f-ing nuts. After I saw that I actually went and did it!

  • HAhahahaha, dude, i can t believe wat i seeing!

    This is genius!!!haha

  • dam thank god i have a button on mine....yea benny benassiiiiii

  • Fuck you asshole why dont you go and jack off to youre preeteen drunken ass slaping shit.

  • presssing a butten

  • try it upside down with the reverse button on

  • " pir8hed (1 month ago)

try it upside down with the reverse button on "

First comment that made me laugh out loud, hahahah!

  • u are stupid

  • u is a stooped

  • ah, this is supposed to be a reply to an earlier staement in thie comment review.

The video itself is amazingly useful, back on page 2-3 there is a useless view statement regarding my assessment.

  • oww man your a legend!

  • wow wear do you learn that lol

  • Haha, this is great :D

  • i haven't seen that trick used in years man. you are old school.

  • and youre a looser

  • hah your 20 years old and your telling me i'm a "looser". son i was mixing casettes and vinyl while your father was fapping to gay porn before he became your lesbian mother's test tube specimin. figure it out, jackass.

  • nice one. But don't tell every thing.

  • well done... on the licking contact thing, long term, the goop in our saliva builds up and causes a film, making it worse over time.... try an eraser at the end of a pencil... it works quite well... still have to blow out the eraser bits, but no build-up.... cheers!

  • Good idea, another is simply rub the contacts on the end of the head shell on yout jeans.

  • must admit this is a neat trick

  • must admit this is a neat trick fair play!

  • i think it's better to put something wider at the bottom to make it more stable. but i love this little trick.

  • Totaly agree, at the end of the day anything that makes it better is fine!

  • Nice 1 haha, cool
