and it is. all styles of old school dance has upgraded in some contemporary form. even if it's not chicago house style, there are different styles of house dance.

old school things do get changed up over time.....but its not a bad thing. its just adding another element of feeling to it. all dance is subject to change, but that doesnt mean the dance is wrong. so dont hate on something just cuz it's different, it's still meaningful.

Top rocking is different and afaik a bboy move that leads into others, as you stated. House is actually it's own style/feeling althogh most old school house dancers will say it can't be defined or taught. =P Even though there is SOME top rocking (ex- 1:09) here, most of the clips here actually classify as house.
