the h50 radiator is installed wrong , the pipes should be at the bottom, so that any air in the system is trapped at the top of the radiator and does not travel round the system and get stuck in the cpu block

You are blowing the heat from the radiator onto the northbridge. The roof fan will never get rid of that heat. Extract or blow the radiator heat out the case a.s.a.p.

@JordanWells15 About 12 years ago I had my first tower PC in a package deal. Having no idea how it worked, I simply dismantled the whole thing entirely, also taking notes, and them re-built it. It still worked. From that day I have built numerous PC's from scratch, although wiring and cable management is still a form of art imo. You dont need college for this sort of thing, just get in about it.

your pc is quite similar to my planned upgrade (h50/70, fractal design r3, hx 650 and the gpu are the same) except im planning sandybridge.

@liam666cob I have never fixed this problem yet. Haha. EVGA swears it supposed to run at that temp. I'll be putting a new CPU fan and will see if the extra airflow will help. Fans and what not did nothing. Its not a problem it just runs warm.

My advice is to not use that CPU cooler for over clocking, its ok for getting down temps for normal usage, but for over clocking an i7 in my opinion it is inadequate. i would suggest water cooling if u want the best GHZ from your i7.

its very easy to cool the graphic card...... there two ways , its scary ,but helpful. you could suspend a fan from the top of the case so it hangs over the card ive done that on my pc. my cousin suspended a water cooling system , you just place it on the card and suspend it from the top of the case. in both cases use nylon ties there strong and kind of flexible. i recommend the fan method, scince ive used it before. hope this helped!!!!

Well I think if it was "Ultimate" it would have an overclocked i7 980x with custom water cooling, 24GB of 2000Mhz DDR3 RAM and Tri-SLI GTX 580's or maybe Quad-Crossfire Radeon HD 5970's with a 1500W power supply. I'm just saying, the word ultimate means the best of the best.

I do think your rig is more than enough for any gamer right now though.

I had the same issue with the northbridge years ago with a ASUS mobo and AMD proc. , I replaced the heatsink and thermal compound, RECOMMEND you to do the same, possible that it is not in contact with heatsink, secondly, what I did was, I found a mini fan, I think it is not larger than 2 cm, and put it over the heatsink or the NB and it did help by 15degrees,

PLEASE note that the nbridge can give false temps, its common with every motherboard... I had a computer shop somehow hook something to my asus p5n-d cause I was raging about the temp. They said its running at 52C which is good for not even having a fan on it. Added a fan and dropped it to 48C

Dont always use software and try and get a tool that u can hook up to it to test temp.

This is your "i7 monster"? It has an awful cheap video card, a tiny cheap SSD, and the motherboard, RAM, and hard drive are all very standard. The CPU cooler is alright, but not great for folding. This is a mid-range rig though and through.

Works like a charm and it should help with your case cooling temps as well. I run a Core i7 at 4.1GHz per core, 4 video cards and 6GB DDR3 2000MHz ram and that's alot of heat, but my temps stay low my CPU core temps idles around 45 Celsius and range at 60 under load and my video cards idle around 50 and 70 under load. So all in all I'd say that isn't bad temp wise for the amount of hardware. I also use the Thermaltake Armor+ that helps too :)

You have your H50 blowing the hot air to the inside of the case which I'm sure is effecting your NB temp some. I have an EVGA Classified 760 and it's northbridge runs at 60 close to 70 under extreme gaming but I have it cooled with a 40mm fan. I also have the H50 on my Core i7 and I can tell you know you'll get better performance if you make yours into a push pull unit. You set your back fan to pull air out and you attach another fan to the front of the rad to push air in.
