tbh the antelope was very lucky to get away, it only had the chance because the hyena decided to chase the cheetah off, the hyena was just about to start eating it. As hyenas and a lot of predators are quite happy to scavenge already dead prey, playing dead is not the best solution, that said not sure what else it could have done...

the antelope was not playing dead, antelopes just like goats, can get muscle stiffness, it is caused by exuastion or fright, their limbs stiffen and they are compleatly still, after about 5-20 seconds they can return to functioning properly
