Is it difficult to set stuff up on the KP3? I was thinking about getting one but I'm afraid of spending $400 on it and then realizing I don't know how to use it right.
The little keyboard is a Yamaha PS-200 (from the 80's)
And, not really. If you can play a bass. You can play a bass. If you get one without the fret markings it can get a little bit tricky, but still. You would pick it up in no time if you play alredy.
Gotta say geez, I'm liking these sounds a lot. Just keep comin' back! I feel stuck in the past with my setup compared to all these fancy new machines! Time for an update I think, the KP3 and MPC combo seems perfect.
Haha. Sounds good! I hardly ever use a synth really. You can do so much more with acoustic instruments. But its more effort to set up mics and stuff for a vedio. So I just use electric stuff in my vedios. But I hardly ever record electric. Ukulele it up my friend.
hey man god that is impressive but what i was wondering is if i own the kp3, 2 midi keyboards and a bass guitar how to i hook them all up like u did (to sample them) then like record it in protools on a mac book ?
Hello mate, if you want to record your tunes into your pc then your best bet is to buy a soundcard (external or internel) and then plug everything in and set up your DAW in's and outs.
MIDI inputs will have to go into MIDI connections so make sure you get a soundcard with MIDI and Line/Mic etc.. good luck
Yea but you can get cheaper ones, thats a good choice if you want to use ProTools which isn't the easiest of software to learn. But yes the Mbox is an external sound card, just make sure whatever you get you have enough/correct inputs for what you want to record.
very cool stuff man.. well done. im getting a kaoss pad tomorrow along with a bunch of other stuff second hand for a really nice price.. so hopefully i can start making music like this soon.
Well the loops are on a metronome (180bpm). So they loop perfectly and Im just playing along to the tune. Natural rythum. Not that mines always great. Glad you enjoy the sound though.
Its just a normal keyboard. They have preset sounds usually. Or they wouldnt work. Hahaha. You can use midi with a kaoss pad though. To trigger midi signals from a computer or drum machine
Good move. Im sure you will not be dissapointed. Ive had alot of fun using it for non musical things aswell. Just running the TV through it or something. Or getting snippets of friends conversations and making a little tune out of them. Endless fun I tell you. Also. If you wanted to know. there is one 2" jack input on the front and Line in (phono) on the back. There is also a line out (phono again) and a head phone in (2" jack again).
you just got added to my "chill" playlist for my own listening pleasure. you wanna know why? cause that was chill as fuck my friend.

The KP3 is a dodle to use. I would say it has about a half an hour learning curve.
Simple simple. Very good buy. Strongly advised for ample amounts of fun!
And thankyou.

Nice! I have too many questions.
I'll choose two:
What is that small keyboard and is a fretless bass much harder to play than a standard one?
