  • I get this when the box is connected to an external drive through eSATA and is recording to two HD shows while I'm watching a third. It seems like it just can't transfer that much data at once while reading from and writing to the external drive.

  • Have you cable provider come to your house and check the signal wire going in to your house. I have the same DVR from Time Warner Cable.

  • Might not be the box. Could be weak signal to the box. That's the problem I had.

  • Yeah same thing happened to my 8300hd and then they gave an 8240hdc and it's only been 'bout a week...

  • i have the hd dvr and hate it. we have had the service since the fall of '07 and we are on our 8th box!

  • I got the first SA 8300HD box on 11/22/08, I am now on my THIRD box. I have had nothing but problems with this box. I hate it.
