  • He's playing Iambic Poetry #9 by Squarepusher at 2:20.

  • @DaNorthernLight You pay for the having all of that in a compact and versatile way that impresses; as with all instruments, its a personal choice. Although it is a lot of money for a single instrument.

  • alien tech!

  • wow! this is the first time I've ever heard of these Eigenharps. They are amazing!

    =)

  • looks cool, expected something else

  • what was the first tune from the tau called

  • @floss16 Blackbird

  • @DaNorthernLight I agree. When I first saw thie eigenharp I was impressed, and then I saw the price tag and my response was something along the lines of a dignified "KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!" Whatever, I still want one. Hahaha!

  • 4:46 sounded like Chalie Browns Parents angry.

  • Tell me somebody is right now learning to play the Cantina theme from Star Wars with this thing.

  • who the fuck disliked this!?!?!

  • The Tau demonstration piece sounded a lot like Iambic 9 Poetry by Squarepusher... I like it!

  • Pico: $637.41

    Tau: $2770.46

    Alpha: $5665.89

    I'll keep dreaming...

  • @TheKingLunar student loans, duh!?

  • but will it blend?

  • the Tau song reminds me of Yo La Tengo song... nicely done.

  • alpha demonstration was killer.

    tau was also epic.

pico got boring, shoulda played a bit more with samples over that sequencer.

  • It can imitate a distorted guitar with a glass slide!!! Oh My God!!'

  • I like the song starting at 2:00

But yea, this is a hecka cool new instrument.

  • lol... in Chile PICO is used like vulgar expression of penis.... is like saying Eigenharp Dick.

    But the instrument es awesome.

  • 4:40 is horrible...

  • I feel like you could just fuck around around with these things and stuff would just sound awesome. Especially like he's doing at 4:24

  • Kinda David Fiuczynski-esque on the Alpha.

  • These pieces are a really nice evolution from the themes you were playing when the eigenharp was first announced… I think at the time, you were trying to demonstrate each and every feature of the instrument at once, while these three are much more focused musically, more solid. The eigenharp can adopt many personalities, that doesn't mean it's made to play all of them at once :)

  • Ggggrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The piece with ALPHA is horrible...To make this demo with an instrument so successful???? It is really some mortar. For other pieces with the PICO and TAU I say OK.

  • @zefrantz I actually liked that one the most! It's great and entices me to buy more than the other demos.

  • This thing is totally amazing, i don't even want to think of how long it would take for me to learn how to use all of it's functions and play it like this guy though!

  • @Mulletron22 Practice my friend

  • I love the the potential that this has. They should contract Mystery Guitar Man about doing commercials for it since he's big on looping and editing and has a large following.

  • Maybe when they make an officially finished version of their windows software ......

  • If i could get an alpha, i would just quit leaving my house, it would consume my life.

  • dam i wish i could afford one of these

  • it's like need for speed 3 music.

  • I'm in love with this device (for me it's not an "instrument"...), and i'm sure that it's perfect for a lot of live purpose.

But i don't like it when try to simulate real instruments (lika an acoustic or electric guitar, for example).

Better if you consider it for other uses.

  • I just have to get myself a pico, been longing for one for far too long
