@dirtd3vils It's designed for putzing around the neighborhood, trail riding and whatever else you can think of. I ride it to work and save a mountain of cash in gas. Don't knock things you have no first hand experience with.
Basically it is because it has no gas engine. All the state laws pretty much govern "motorized" vehicles as some sort of above or below 70CC in engine size. This bike, at least in my state of Wa. is considered a mountain bike as it has less than 70cc engine size. (no gas engine at all). So I have to follow the city ordinances for bicycles. Under 25mph and stay to the right of traffic basically. Riding at night, you have to use a red flasher on the back and smallish white light up front.
I pretty much go as fast I can get away with too heheh.. Just gun it and fly with little sound. If I see traffic or cars I slow down to around 25mph. Cops just ignore me, they have looked the bike over and love it.
if electric vehicles ever become the majority of vehicles driven, there will probably be groups of people devoted to developing sound makers to install on them, lol.
There are actually... you can buy a sound system that will play any engine sound, and it will go louder when you twist the throttle. It plays from an ipod... you could probably find it if you search.
Actually all the noise you hear is the chain gliding along the two guides. Both the chain guides are made of hard plastic or something like it. When you first get the bike, the chain kinda makes it's grooves then gets more quiet. The main chain guide mounts to the tube on the swingarm and I imagine it transfers all that noise to it. I have since took the guide off and ground it out then mounted it on rubber that is wrapped around the swingarm tube. My bike is now do quiet it really is amazing.
I like it. What is causing the noise it makes make? I can hear the really quiet wine from the motor but what is all the crackling noise it makes? Is it annoying?
I dont mean to be a smarty pants because im jsut 10 but you shouldnt ride it on the rode because it will take the grip off those beautiful tires.

What size inverter did you need to charge it while camping?

I charged it withh just the 110v plug on the trailer. I usually always camp with electricity. I do have a 240v plug for the charger as well.
