In the case of Popeye & The Flintstones, at least there's enough left to the imagination to merrit curiosity of what they would look like fleshed out. In the case of JQ, the animated versions almost look fleshed out already, so there's not as much incintive to want to see a live actor version because there's not as much of a difference.

Zac Efron is too old and unlike the character of Jonny Quest. Jonny Quest was a kid getting in cool adventures and not a guy in his 20's. They ruined the 1990's cartoon re-make and Hollywood will ruin it if a movie-version comes out for sure.

I certainly hope they don't make it into a movie. A lot of good cartoons and classic movies have been ruined by attempts to make them into more modern movies, and I'd hate to see Jonny Quest suffer the same fate.

I'm kinda hoping that Jonny Q does get this casting, because I love the both of them, and while they may not be the -perfect- choices, I think there's something to be said for tv to movie adaptions. Don't judge until you've seen, and Zefron is a good little actor, despite the masses judging him simply by his tweeny-bopper Disney status he used to hold.
