Hamilde, if you know Terry would you please ask him if he played steel on ricky skaggs' version of the everly's song...."I Wonder If I Care as Much" and if he played on ricky's version of "San Antonio Rose"? inquiring minds want to know. thanx. The steel intro to san antonio rose is about as good as it gets.
@BigBoiJC Billboard's country top 40 list of songs and their chart ranking by artist, Lloyd Green.... steel guitar, .... "I wonder if I care as much".... Ricky Skaggs, 1987, #30. Terry played on san antonio rose, his intro alone should put him in some hall of fame.
@BigBoiJC You believe he sure did what? If you think it's Terry Crisp rather than Lloyd Green, it's the best kept secret as every music publication and steel guitar associations I can find on the subject say its Lloyd Green, since you two are good buds you might want to tell him he played on it, I bet he'd be surprised.
@Baileygeep7 I though Terry did play on I wonder if i care as much AND san antonio rose. and pardon me for being wrong and I am sure correct that my father played on both of those cuts. His name is Jesse Chambers.
@BigBoiJC Wow that's pretty cool, I saw his name on heartbroke, highway 40 blues and others. Was he a studio musician, did he know reggie young and fred carter or some of those guys from the wrecking crew?
I have no idea who these people are- I found this video searching for pedal steel videos- but they're insanely tight... and I kinda like Highway 40 Blues pepped up a bit. The guitarist on the far left is ridiculously good.
I'll tell you one thing - that guy over on the left is absolutely kicking the shit out of those licks! What a great player. This whole band is awesome!
Nice. Thanks for posting.

If this the same Terry Crisp that played with Ricky Scaggs for a little while, he is an awesome player, and the rest of the band is really hot, too.
