  • these 2 guys must have been great friends to collaborate on 2 series together

  • another great michael landon show

  • My sis and I came home to this everyday in the eighties, it was a faith based program just right for "Latch Key" kids like us during the MTV revolution. Hey it was all good back then, we just didn't take stuff to the extreme like the young crowd does nowadays.

  • tengo 31 años y siempre recuerdo este programa, los cuales faltan ahora, donde todo es pelea...... siempre me dejaba con esa sensación de que hay alguien ahi cuidandonos!!!

  • I like how the telephone poles in the opening look a little like crosses....

  • This show was sort of like the 80's answer to 'Touched By An Angel I supose. Funny thing is, there will probably never be another tv show like either one in the future what, with atheism catching on and becoming the rage .

  • RIP Michael Landon and Victor French

  • as a kid i always watched the light @ 0:13 thinking it was heaven lol i guess kids have been saying the dardest things a long time now

  • So I guess Michael Landon was going in the exact opposite direction as AC/DC.

  • @toddsmitts

    You're right...Landon never sold out to Wal-Mart.

  • @doddsino You didn't get the joke, did you?

  • highway to heaven then made way for touched by an angel

  • what the *&^% has happened to all of the other highway to heaven video's that was on here?? The MONSTER and the Halloween episodes have all vanished. WHY?? WHA' HAPPENED??

  • Only 5 People , thats pretty good for 184,245 views. Brings me back to the 80's..

  • Hey there, thanks for posting this up. Memory issues due to health since 2000 and so, seeing this again and realising that this was part of my childhood, wow, what a sensation and wow, what good feelings it bought back. you've made my day, and cheered me up. thank you again. GB you.

  • Five people don't like Heaven

  • My sister and I watched this everday after school. Looking back I realize what a great show it was. My, how the programming has changed now.

  • I liked Little House on the Prairie. To each his own.

  • This was just such a feel good show. It made you actually want to believe that angels did walk the earth because of ML's performances. Not one week went by that this didn't make me cry. Super stuff

  • a show like this would be offensive today.. because it talks about a place that "doesn't exist" and infringes on left wing atheists somehow.... oh back in the day...

  • @aronnov Apparently, they didn't think of that when "Touched By An Angel" came out.

  • This intro scared the KA-KA out of me when i was about 5 :(

  • An other depressing series of the 80ties.

  • Im not even religious, but i love this show.

  • I think that staring at a blank white wall is more entertaining than Little House on the Prairie!

  • My friend passed away the other day and I watched this video. I'd like to think she might be an angel someday too

  • this was good, but little house was better!

  • I always thought it would be hilarious is after Jonathon got in the car, Mark forced him to give him a blowjob.

  • @doddsino HAHAHAHA!

  • A great show and a perfect theme.

  • I remember watching this when i was 5 with my mom. I miss the 80s.

  • @TylerMontana same here, i was too young to understand half the lessons it taught but i loved it all the same.

  • Loved Michael Landon. He's a massive loss to the film industry. God rest his soul.

  • I'm guessing Michael Landon dyed his hair brown as the series continued, 'cause if u watch the first episode, Michael's hair looks grayish and then as the series went on, his hair was brown

  • Michael Landon was a great entertainer whose shows always brought inspiration and love for the audiences. RIP Michael Landon

  • michael landon to all who watched him in film and series, give it from the heart.

  • I love this show!!!!!!

  • I always loved 1:12 when Michael and Victor are smiling like little boys. The perfect way for two best buddies to greet one another!

  • RIP Mr Landon

  • Was this the season 1 intro?

  • other time, the car was cubic, I don't make a lesson morality in the country of Sam, but my little adventure in france ( A hand some birds below my , I m scary to say that it was my lord because muslim) and this intro, yes there are the highway to heaven for all maybe. I watched on the channel 5 " la cinq" teennager .

  • Havent seen this in a bit.

  • ugh these are two men you'd hope to never find on a highway or especially a truck stop bathroom by the looks of them

  • People may have fond memories of this, but for me it only reminds me of boring Sunday afternoons and the looming, sickly feeling of knowing school is tomorrow.

  • @jmspllkn LOL I totally agree

  • @jmspllkn LOL- I was in school until '88 and laughed when I read your post. I had the same feeling!

  • It wasn't perfect but It was a show which had some lesson In morality and kindness and goodwill. Nowadays you can see kids watching God getting some loving on Family Guy.

  • @reprovo OMG....SO TRUE!!! LMFAO! Our society is so twisted!

  • @reprovo Yes, a cartoon by an atheist is giving God love... WTF are you talking about?

  • @theshninja You didn't understand.I'm being sarcastic.I'm certainly not praising Family Guy.

  • @reprovo Oh, well then you suck... Family Guy is awesome! Giggity giggity goo!!

  • @theshninja Glad to have cleared that up.

  • @theshninja not anymore. the new episode consists of two things: lazy musical numbers to kill a few minutes without the need of creativity and shock effects, that arent in the least bit funny, but just disgusting to watch.

  • @peterpansen23 Well the last episode I watched made me laugh, and that's all I care about.

  • How long was this on? I don't think people remember this Landon series as much as they do Little House or Bonaza.

  • @gotch09 It was cancelled after less than four years because it was crap.

  • @JuanMacready I don't really remember it all that well. I don't remember one episode, so I don't remember whether it was any good or not.

  • @JuanMacready DO NOT SAY THAT ABOUT HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN!!

  • @JuanMacready Beats cancelling it after two years of steamy pile of crap, like that Firefly made us go trough...am i doing this right? because ratings and corporate suits clearly dictate if a shows has quality. Sheesh what moronic thought.

  • @starfox14now The series was a joke considering we all knew Landon was a Republican.

  • i loved this ...im waiting for it on DVD 80s tv BLISS.

  • This is the worst series ever made.

  • I hated this as a kid with a passion ...

  • this is realy tv.

  • i love it

  • Good Times !

  • the opening of this program may suggest that picking up hitchhikers leads to long-lasting friendships with exhiled angels, while my personal experiences would suggest otherwize.

  • @mdgtrpckr LOL

  • I can also conclude that if you pick up a random hitch-hiker chances are it most unlikely will lead to a long friendship and 2 year series of events, contrary to this intro. I also found this television program to be very boring when I was 6 years of age.

  • @TheDigitalslayer

If you pick up a leather faced bum with a worn out jacket and crazy Charles Manson hair carrying a bag - that probably contains a severed cheerleader's head - you are just asking for trouble.

  • Am I the only one who thinks that Victor French looked like an angry drunk in this?

  • @fourstringpredator Landon and French were both alcoholics.

  • @JuanMacready and u was a botched abortion. true story!

  • @fourstringpredator Nah, I agree

  • exelente!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nowadays, the pick up scene looks a little gay xD

  • @Alfadore 1:09 Gay alert!

  • His son is openly gay.

  • @JuanMacready Really? I didnt know it (or interested me :p)

  • Was this the worst series ever made?

  • @JuanMacready no. but say hi to yer mum for me.

  • @Alfadore nah. youse just projecting.

  • @TrentMcGinley I'm glad they died screaming.

  • @TrentMcGinley I don't think so, I'm not the only one

  • Michael Landon R.I.P 19 years ago today. If you see this please say a prayer for him :)

  • does michael landon always hitchhiking on his highway to heaven movie?mhh who can tell, I remember when I was kid watching on highway to heaven, yeah he does that.

  • For juanmacready you must be a pathetic sad little man with a small pecker who spends his nights in the dark jerking off and crying. Show some respect you filthy dousche bag. Rip

  • that episode where the old lady called them for a snake in her toilet.... yeah, I was scared to use the bathroom for so long after that!!!! Great show, though! :) <3 Michael Landon!

  • @steph32984 say what was the name that episode

  • @Digifan23 I'm not for sure!

  • ... I loved this show! ...

  • @JuanMacready really? Why are you watching it and commenting on it?

  • Because I'm glad that Landon and French both died of cancer at only 54.

  • @JuanMacready -LMFAO that's so harsh!

  • if you get the cable channel gmc, this gem is on in the morning and afternoons!

  • wow memories!!

  • Finally, Michael got the wings... God bless you.

  • Loved this show. Does anyone know witch episode French eats the "devils sandwich" from the curb market?

  • thx 4 sharing

  • wow this programme was fantastic.takes me back to my youth.god bless you michael landon.

  • That's right the best tv series ever, awesome, everything in it is awesome.

  • i remember when i was little my mother used to watch this tv-series and at first i was rather bored of it (being too young to be appealed by the emotional content) but i liked the car that "mark" drives in it (i'm a big enthusiast of american cars) and that was the reason the i've done some research about this tv-series :D

  • @CHUUMPASS

What kinda car did he drive?

  • That's easy - Mark's car was a 1978 Ford LTD II. The LTD II was basically a rebodied Torino.

  • exactly ! u like those kind of cars too ?

  • I like LTD IIs as well, but if I were going to go for a mid-to-late '70s Ford, it would have to be a '76 T-Bird or '77 Lincoln Versailles. There are certain models that I like and dislike.

  • This is so funny. My gradparents had a `78 Linclon Mark V - what a beauty and a boat. So cool. Great show by the way, very special messages in it.

  • hi, the car is a Ford LTD II , greetings from germany.

  • as an interesting sidenote i may add that in the terminator movie the character kyle reese also drives a ford ltd II, before he finally "ditches" the car in a parking lot and hops in a cadillac eldorado.

  • you want to have some respect for for someone who thought more about people than he did for himself

  • Is that why he left his second wife for a teenager?

  • This series was fucking crap, like everything Landon did.

  • @FrankClanton Dude Bonanza was awesome. i still catch it on MeTV, along with "The Big Valley." OLD SCHOOL TV WESTERN'S FTW!

  • This intro always makes me feel like crying! :)

  • Me too,...A lot of the episodes were pretty emotional. I believe it was one of the best shows they ever had in the 80's.

  • mouto brigado (:

  • There will never be shows like the 80's again. We were a young niave species in the 80's, ever looking forwards. The people that gave us the visions of the 80's are gone and the environment in which they were received can never be recreated. We've evolved past goodness and into apathy. But I sure did love the 80's

  • jesus christ youre a cunt

  • @fuddruckers2008 But then... that wouldn't be evolution now would it.. the Glass is half full for those with the eyes to see. Keep your chin up kiddo. God Bless.

  • Genius tv programme! what a wonderful way to be introduced to Angels at such a young age (I was about 5 when I watched this!) I wonder if someone will create some more amazing shows like this! Thanks for posting the vid x

  • thx!!!

  • I grew up watching this show back in the 80's. That decade (80's) is my generation, I graduated out of high school during that time.

  • in this melody i know when something die but is fantastic the video... thanks and kisses!!! 5 stars

  • oH, i GET THE OPENING, ITS A MONTAGE FROM THE BIBLE ABOUT HELPING FELLOW TRAVELERS ALONG SIDE THE ROAD...

  • amen hermano!!

  • oh my good! XD jejejejejej

  • He'd da be dead now.

  • Best show ever !

  • The best show from the series IMHO is "For The Love Of Larry". It's extremely touching. I have seen others' opinion on this show and they say the same thing. If your are an animal lover and watch this show you would agree!

  • I do wish "Highway To Heaven" (or something like it) was still on network TV; It was a very positive family show that showed positive values. Sure beats the vulgar, idiotic situation-comedy crap that only showcases stupidity they have on there now!

  • Michael Landon always looked like he needed a hair cut!

  • I totaly loved this show when I was little and the opening was totally beautiful. It was one of only a few TV show openings that I loved. :)

  • he doesn't have to wear a seatbelt coz he's an angel

  • Michael Landon what a great guy R.I.P.

  • i i love all angels

  • What a wonderful show. The theme song made me cry-still does. Thanks for posting.

  • On my grandmother's side of the family, rumor has it that Victor French was related. She had an uncle (with the same last name) who looked just like him, and moved to NYC to do theater work.

  • A great show..

  • Made me cry!

    Loved the show.

  • Michael Landon, Great Show.

  • number 1 theme tune

  • i gave my collection of Highway To Heaven to my STEP" LADDER so called dad

    love you mom

  • I LOVE IT TOO!

  • At the end, you see they are driving on the side of the road that is more well-worn and travelled by. That is poignant.

  • This used to beon sudays me and my gran would lie on here bed with a box of tissues i was only young but i still remember it i loved michale landon in little house as well xxx

  • Luciana nota 1000 por ter posto essa raridade e tbm um beijo no seu coração parabens me emocionei quando eu vi

  • Una gran serien que buenos recuerdos.Gracias

  • I look at this with great happy memories and i think how television has degenerated and i wonder what the hell happened.

  • yes i absoluely agree we had some lovely programmes before that made you feel good after you watched them now its just terrible and very miserble shock factor tv!

  • U r saying so being in US (may be) or a developed country...

I fully agree with ya being in Pakistan that TV HAS degenerated.

We Pakistanis loved to watch Michael Landon e.g.

This series, Little House on the Prairies, etc

  • my friend (if I may....) it is not just Pakistan...fairly similar to TV in Australia - not as good as it was...

  • Thanks for uploading this. It brings back so many good memories :-)

  • Thats what is missing nowadays decent programmes like highway to heaven, all you get now is reality tv

  • Wow.... This intro always made me cry. Whenever my family sat down to watch this, I'd always hide behind the couch and cry... The song was just so sad. I used to think to myself..."why is he walking so far?.... Why don't someone give him a ride? Then I would smile after he got picked up. Michael Landon and Victor French, are the white versions of Sidney Poiter and Bill Cosby.... All Love!

  • yo veia esta serie pero en espanol y me encantaba, cuantos recuerdos!!!!!

  • I feel like I'm six years old again in my gran's living room on "my spot" sucking down on my cup!

  • this is my childhood right here.

  • Jesus, this brings back memories! Mike Landon ruled!

  • The most moving TV theme ever

  • Little House to Highway! The man was a genious. I miss his style and would love to bring it back. Being a preacher's son, these were the only TV shows allowed in my house. Maybe that was a good thing.

  • I remember coming home from School, sitting in the family room and watching this, as my mother sat beside me. It was a time I loved, being a child and all the magic that this series gave out was one of the best things for any child.

Remember, when this was on, so was Chips and T J Hooker and Dallas.

Use to watch them all now and again, but I tried not to miss Highway to Heaven.

Funny, makes me look back to times when days where longer and more relaxed.

  • My mums all time favourite tv show. Michael Landon was mums favourite actor.

  • I loved this show!!!

  • me 2

  • absulut kult

  • vive dieu !!!!

  • bad sales as you know people love this

  • for my money, the best episode was the one abot the guy who's son was a pilot in military and died in the Vietnam war. the father lost all faith and towards the end of the episode boarded the plane his son died in

he saw his son as the other control saying "I'm right here with you dad, no matter what"

thats just such a beautiful sentiment.

  • I have noticed the earlier series shown in the uk was on film, whereas the later series was on videotape(minus the speckles).is it true that most u.s. shows were transferred to film for us,as our tv system is different.
