@Tongsmart I've concurred with your verdict that cheap sex and drugs can be obtained in Thailand, this is mainly contributed to poverty (created by the corrupted government), where parents can't afford to feed them, hence selling them, in exchange for food and modern commodity, would lessen their burden - that's very sad but this is the reality. I've also noted because of Thailand Nationalism, the country is trying to deny its true history, and school kids were taught the distorted version.

No disrespect to you but look at a map buddy. Laos borders Thailand in the NE. Most people there are immigrants, legal and illegal, that come in from Laos. There's a lot of animosity toward people from that region. Think illegal immigrants form Mexico entering the US.

Well, I don't know you personally but for me, to be Thai means to love and respect King and country. Be patriotic and do good by the country and its people. I spend most of my time in the US but have love for Thailand thus, I consider myself Thai. It really doesn't matter where you're from but where your heart lies. Look past the hate but defend what is true. Isan people get heat for vote rigging involved with Thaksin etc. Hope that helps.

Why are you sad? I think you are the sad and sorry one. I read history from all perspectives. Go dig deeper and you will find the truth. A Thai's scholar did this research and concluded Thai's writing is a simplify of Khmer's cursive writing. The article is online. In Early history Thai's monks had to learn Khom/Khmer when they became monks. Thai's writing was not widely used until late Ayudhya period. Khmer's yuntra that protects many Thai's property today is written in Khmer round alphabet.

The tales of Phra Ruang is come from the old man of Sukhothai in the age of King Vajiravudh of Siam. The king listen the tales from the old man and write it in the poem about Phra Ruang the lord of Sukhothai which is the colony of Khom in Lavo. Ayuthaya wasn't ruled by Preah Rong. Authaya was ruled by a Chinese merchant descendant named U Tong. China helped U Tong to make war against Khmer at Angkor. Watch Suryothai movie, the Siam army dress like the Chinese army. Thais came from China, but the word Thai of Prah came from the word Khmer of Preah. Sukhotei and Angkor never had war. Angkor had war only with Ayuthaya. We don't steal your King, we only tell you that your frist Thai nation was created by Khmer at Sukhotei.

I've tell you Sukhothai fight with Angkor T^T I have known Cambodia make movie about master Desho(dont know pronun in khmer!) diving the land to protect Khmer from Siamese army. In Thai legend, Desho who can dive into land send to kill Phra Ruang who is monk at Sukhothai, Phra Ruang curse Decho by his holiness magic then Decho would be stone. It's the Thai tale of Phra Ruang, I think it's very different from Khmer version -_-because Decho and Phra Ruang is in the same story.
