I used to do this over and over on SNES when I was younger. EVERY frickin' time, it would freeze on me at the versus screen. I never got to play the damn Pong game! That ever happen to anyone else, or is it like a game-version glitch or something?

@Mae77 Not exactly. I have the official strategy guide for mortal kombat II for consoles (SNES & Sega Genesis) and it states that this also happens in the console versions.
