I like the combo a lot, It's a very interesting feeling I get listening to it. I just think some parts of Doom's lyrics don't matchup well with the rhythm. But there are a lot of songs where Doom barely keeps up with the rhythm of the beat he made! Keep up the good work chief!
OHHHHH FUUUUUCK ijustcame. but seriously. I really like your bravery. the post-emo indie rock stuff paints a perfect backdrop for MF's confessional rhymes. it almost sounds like a freestyle over an indie jam. the fact that it hardly reminds me of either of the original songs (both of which I'm a big fan) is an accomplishment unto itself. don't buy into the hate, with innovation comes resistance.
Dude, I actually like this a lot. It turns the rap into more of a spoken word form. Keep experimenting with this, man. Don't let anyone discourage you.
This mashup is mad weird. I see all the hate here but I'm looking at this as a happy accident. In emotive hardcore and post emotive punk the lyrical flow isn't always apparent (if there at all). I like this because you tried to mix two genres that don't go together. good shit.
i agree that the vocals and instrumentals don't match THAT well, but i'm still digging this. the fact that you put doom and algernon together makes me so happy inside haha
incredible, please make more. these two are somehow perfectly suited for one another. maybe try incorporating algernon vocals in your next one? i feel like "motivational song" could work (check out the little twinkly bit at 1:01)
if you have heard of american football, i would suggest doing something with the song Never Meant. this is quite admirable that you pulled this off. if i may suggest, you should upload all your projects, regardless if you are satisfied or not. it helps to just document ideas and gauge your progress. this is so refreshing to see something like this exist. where im from, this would be either overlooked or underappreciated. from one to another, please dont stop, kid.
@aj21121 hey, thanks man! i made this along with a few other mashups that are similar... however this one was pretty much the only good one out of the batch. that entire algernon cadwallader album brings that same elusive feeling to me; it's very uplifting, one of my favorite albums of all time. hopefully i'll have the ability to make more like this and share them with you. thank you so much!
love you, that is all.

It could be cooler but you need to sync up the tempos. It would be pretty awesome if you did

Nice job making two great songs sound mediocre.
