you get what you pay for...Vengeance uses a engine builder called ProLine. They are one of the best builders in the country, their engines have set more records in the 10.5 inch class then all others combined..combined that with the fact that Vengeance uses TFS heads most of the time, they cost a bit more then any stock cnc casting...bottom line if i were to do another stroker, i would not waste my time with Lingenfelter, i would go right to Vengeance and have them build me a monster.
@9secondsflat Thats not true exactly, Vengeance will build you a motor using other components, its not always a Proline as they are pretty expensive. I feel like if i was going to take my car somewhere for a large CID motor I would take it to shawn at VA Speed
@scottiethebody0 I am not saying only Vengeance is the place to go, they do have great PROVEN packages that make big hp, all the time..not just on one persons car. Carmen at The Vette Dr's is also a no brainer, they build motors that stay together. The real acid test is how long the motor stays together before something happens. I know first hand of a lingenfelter engine that John built himself, its a lt1 383 that has over 75k miles and over 4000 passes, its never been part, (more)
@9secondsflat the black firebird runs 10.80's at 125mph with 1.4x 60's. As far as Shawn at VA Speed, time and only time (not et's time) building hundreds if not thousands of engines that take all kinds of abuse is what will put him in the league of some of the best builders in the country.

how much does something like this cost
mwd92 2 years ago
depends on the heads but you can easily spend 12-15k for the heads, cam ,intake, rockers, headers and shortblock + labor..etc...
