  • wtf??NEVVA did i get dat...!and wtf???how did you get that sword twice?(aparently that is a mod...)

  • Like how in SWTOR ALL female officers are called "SIR" anyway.

  • @salenkov "Ser" is the title for any knight. It gets mixed up with "Sir" a lot.

  • Just got this scene, I was leaving the temple with the werewolves.

  • Ohhh wow. Referencing Monty Python & Sword in the Stone. I knew I loved BioWare for a reason.

  • This made me think of Monty Python, lol

Large Man with Dead Body: Who's that then?

The Dead Collector: I dunno, must be a king.

Large Man with Dead Body: Why?

The Dead Collector: He hasn't got shit all over him.

  • I got this once through about 10-12 playthroughs

  • This is something I missed playing through this game in my playthroughs.... Thanks was fun to watch! :)

  • You "sir"

  • You "sir"

  • ok two things! first of all, i have NEVER EVER see this after multiple play throughs and two starfangs?? how to the which to the where?? i think my head may explode :(.

  • Lol. Two Starfangs?

  • *Archdemon get it's legs cut off, looks down at them.* Right, we'll call it a draw then.

  • Help! Help! I'm being repressed!

  • Right, I'm putting an end to this Easter egg. I have noticed the tendency of this game to get far too silly. If I see one more I'll have to stop the whole game.

  • I never got this one either. When I run out of random encounters I always get that one annoying dwarf with useless shit that I never buy, wasting my time and making the game load twice as long.

But oh well, this is a pretty forced nudge to Monty Python, they make it even more obvious with "she doesn't have DUNG all over her" all I can say to that is "yeah, I get it. It's Monty Python."

On an unrelated note, Holy Grail is the funniest movie in existence

  • Explains how idiotic the goverment is today..

  • i've finished the game 7 times and i've never gotten this encounter

  • i tired and tired agai to get this to activate by going to the forest dalish camp and the woods and the ruins again and again but it would never que.

  • Comment removed

  • Good grief, Monty Python reference!! xD How I adore thee, game creators...

  • BULLSHIT IVE PLAYED THIS GAME ALMOST 100 TIMES AND IVE NEVER GOTTEN THIS WTF WTF WTF WTF i hate you bioware

  • @rickyirishman its a mod :p

  • @TheMysteriousDumbaz1 oh...i knew that

  • @TheMysteriousDumbaz1 Actually, it's not. I've gotten this on my 360 version of DA:O. It's really there.

  • @Loganlermanroxmysox wow, it must be extremely rare then. O_o

  • @Loganlermanroxmysox Do you know if its in the PS3 Ultimate Edition Version?

  • @BloodWolfXVI It is, but it's just a random encounter that may or may not happen. I didn't even find the Superman one until two months ago, and I've had the game since it came out XD

  • I got this on my first playthrough. I was like, "O___o. This is so...random."

  • :02 that's what she said!

  • monty python + dragon age = EPIC WIN!!!!!!!!

  • I only managed to get this once. Awesome :D

  • i had this before. its just a very rare random encounter

  • how do you get this scene?

  • I have finished the game 6 times and I havn't ever gotten this encounter

  • @preciousssperson same!!

  • does that happen in a downloadable content?

  • 'You sir' lmao

  • Eleanor Cousland! I thought you were dead!

  • old woman (man): alister, how'd u get to be king?

alister: well first i became a grey warden. then my uncle almost got me killed by darkspawn, went on an adventure, kill my uncle in a dule, and stop the blight by killing the archdemon with my friend.

  • @madman101ish logain is alistairs uncle?

  • @TheMasterblah he was the king's brother... or was it brother in law cuz his sister married him? anyhow, alister is the king's kid who was sent to a chantry to become a templar till the grey wardens came and took him and all this shit went down

  • @madman101ish wouldnt that make him his father in law? because alistairs brother was king and was arried to logains daughter so his daddy in law is a jerk?

  • @TheMasterblah i got confused near the start of this conversasion... i know alister is related to logain in some way that involves anora (the queen)

  • @madman101ish yes logain is alistairs father in law

  • @TheMasterblah how do u figure that?? k alistair is the son of king maric but only a half-brother to the king cailan. king cailan married anora, thus making loghain his father in law. i dont think that makes him related to alistair in anyway cuz alistair isnt the one who married anora etc etc....... so basically loghain is just some a**hole u have to kill

  • @There4leonskennedy ... >_< wow. kk let me say this again. alistair is king cailans brother, cailan married anora, anora is alistairs sister in law, thus making anoras father LOGHAIN related in some way (that I just described) to alistair and if you persuaded alistair to marry anora he would still be related to loghain no matter what...

  • I neverrr got this D;

and I've played through origins FULLY 5 times [/LameChild]

  • @xxprincesszeexx Neither did I! So sad! This is so funny!

  • @mythlover20 I agree xD

I was like "Morrigan shall be Merlin and I shall be Arthurr!!!"

  • At the beginning, watch how they switch :).

  • Help! Help! I'm being repressed!

  • place to get the game free pirate bay

  • best scene ever monty python, sword in the stone and a random mad woman saying that you shall rule all of thedas it doesent get any better than that.

  • never seen this before in dragon age origins

  • The funniest part is Female Human nobels can become queen...

  • the violence inherited in the system!! =D

  • Where you got the axe?

And what swords do you use?

  • this encounter is extremely rare and renders a powerful axe. ive beaten this game uncountable times and have never gotten it

  • Comment removed

  • *they hear of Leliana's pudding*

"At least our joke revolved around government" ;)

  • this isnt in the 360 version

  • @TooBigToHide Yes it is. Ive only gotten it once though out of like 8 playthroughs

  • Help help, I'm being repressed!

  • how the fuck did you get this my girlfriend and i have beaten this so many times and have never gotten this

  • Have you seen the Superman Easter Egg? I came across it on my way to Denerim, I think. Blatant amazing-ness, it was.

  • I've played this game so many times and never got this enconter. But wery funny.

  • What the how the I DON'T EVEN

  • She said you SIR am i the only one who heard that.

  • @tsethbright She says 'ser.' It's what they use as a title knights or "betters." Male or female.

  • OMG! You´ve got the same character like me! :D My one has a tattoo on the right eye.....

How did you get this scene?

  • I'm still waiting to get this random encounter I've had everyone but this one oh well not missing much although it's better than a load of angry dwarfs attacking you

  • Where is this I've never found it!

  • Played DA:O through 6 times. Never got this one...

  • @MrMetsakurat ironically i got it my first playthrough and never saw it again, general occurance is between the forest and denerim in travel or the forest and lothering in travel, have fun attempting =D

  • but where can i find this place? or is it only for pc?

  • @chosenone27990 meteor ore, if u have wardens keep dlc, at the end of it if u give it to the blacksmith there he'll craft a long sword or two handed sword for u :) its called starcraft (or something) its top sword in the game and it looks beautiful ;p i like blue colour xD

  • and btw where is this place situated ?

  • u dont even realise the amount of easter eggs in dao :P over 100

  • lol I've only got this scene twice ever.

  • AHH, now we see the violence inherent in the system!!!

  • 0:36-0:43 reminds me of Monty Python

  • dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Axameter

    Everything about the axe.

  • @II18upII dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Strange_Wood

    The encounter.

  • not a mod i came across it too

  • Is this a mod? I don't recall ever stumbling upon this quest.

  • beaverfeaver12 because the village idiots couldn't figure out a better way to remove the axe. ;p

  • I got the same scene by luck. the axe gives +6 damage to dragons if im not mistaken. i dont know what i did to get it. it just happens.

  • how the heck did you get this scene?!?!?

i never got it at all when playing (Y_Y)

  • your the king? but I didnt vote for you.

  • Ah...Monty Python, FTW!

  • How'd u get that scene? I want an axe

  • why is there three women there who look like they should be making food trying to pull an axe out of a log

  • I never got this scene, where do you find it?

  • What weapons are you using?

  • Wat

  • everyone says this is an easter egg of monty python, but i never saw that movie, can anyone PM me a link to the original scene please?

  • Monthy Python and king's Arthur argue with that pesant ^^

  • I only ever get the superman one... Is it one per game?

  • I just walked away, lol. They were frightening.

  • Wait wait! When does *this* take place?! I've owned the game since it released and have played it more times through then is likely healthy and I've never encountered this. The only Easter Egg I've ever experienced is the Lord of the Rings one. I thought that was it =(

  • All hail Dragon Age Origins! All hail easter eggs! All hail an allude to Monty Python!!!!

  • Oh Monty Python...we still love you.

  • What makes you think he's a king

'e ain't got shit all over 'im

  • does anyone know that Thedas is actually: The Dragon Age Setting-->The-D-A-S->Thedas!

  • @xXLDeusXx Ok, NOW bring up something similiar with "Ferelden" and "Free Marshes" and you're my Hero xD

    Seriously o.o

  • it's Ser btw

  • Why did I not get this cool random encounter :-(

  • @O1LSL1CK me neither!! well at least i got the superman parody, didn't you?

  • @jimenawera Yeah, that was pretty LOL - although it was a part of the Warden's Keep DLC so every1 who bought that dlc got that encounter...this encounter on the other hand I have never gotten :-(

  • i don't understand the joke.

  • @tysken94 Reference to King Arthur and the Sword in the Stone. If you pulled the sword out of the stone you were the rightful king. That's how Arthur became King

  • @celticdragon153 and why exactly is that funny?

  • what!!! i never got this random encounter! D:

  • Where do you find this in the game?

  • Love the Monty Python reference xD

  • How come I didn't get this? Did you do something to trigger this? Playing on PS3 by the way.

  • where is this?

  • What's Teyrna Cousland doing there?

  • Fun Fact: When the girl said "Because she doesnt got dung all over her" its a reference to Monty Python and the Holy Grail "Because he aint got shit all over him

  • @brett6666 The line about naming someone ruler because they pulled an axe is also in reference to Holy Grail. "strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. "

  • i just love easter eggs, especially monty python ones XD

  • i think this is a king arther refrence. like how he pulled the sword out of the stone and became king

  • is it a mod?

  • @ninjadel2 its an Monty python Easter Egg

  • well I didn't vote for her...

  • i love the monty python lines lol

  • Dear God, that was funny! I've been playing DA for a while now, and I've NEVER seen this before!

  • When I meet someone who says they dislike Monty Python I feel an extreme urge to punt them between the legs.

  • @GrifCannon90

and by punt, i hope you mean chainsaw.

  • was that a monty python reference just now? that's the second I've seen, this one and the superman one

  • is this just for the computer version or is it on the xbox version too?

  • Care to tell us where this "easter egg" is?

  • @kingofmonra random encounter

  • WTF !? i never see that ! it's a mod ?

  • @Thunker71 dragonage[dot]wikia[dot]com/wiki/Strange_Wood

  • here do you get hte templar armor??

  • ive playd throgh the game MANY times and this has only happend me once

  • lol, so king arthur parody + monty python reference? mmk, cool. =P

  • No its just a very very rare random encounter.

  • Is this a mod...?

  • Is this a mod?

  • on second thought lets not go to denerim tis a silly place

  • monty python ftw XD

  • Lady: Listen -- strange women wandering around the woods picking up swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical axe ceremony.

    Warden: BE QUIET!

Lady: Well you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some some stump gave an axe to you!

    Warden: SHUT UP!

  • Epic play out of Monty Python and the Holy Grail

  • monty python and the holy grail

  • I never got this.... maybe you have to be a girl to get it....

  • How do you get this? I have never gotten it!

  • the dung thing at the end was a monty python refrence :)

  • If I went around saying I was the Emperor of Orlais just because some drunken chippy lobed an axe at me, they'd put me away.

  • urng, now i have to wonder all throughout the map just to get it...darn...

  • Lol @ the women swapping places in the first few seconds.

  • help helpI'mbeing repressed

  • WTF?

  • ... supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not some farcical stumpy ceremony!

  • @mesponsler But then again not being covered in shit does tend to make one better at dealing with officials which would be rather important for a leader.

  • @mesponsler you sir r a champion

  • @mesponsler listen, if i went around, sayin i was an emperor, because some twiggy bink had lubbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

  • Yay. Monty Python.

  • I GOT THIS RECENTLY!!! I loved the axe <:

  • lol, 2 starfangs and random easter egg, this guy has some modding skills :)

  • "Ser" Cauthrian

  • First time I've ever heard of this. Played Origins 27 times and I haven't gotten this. I'm gonna ask a modder to force it to appear.

  • Epic Monty Python referance!

  • aa how did u get this?

  • Pointing out the obvious to the oblivious.

"Sir" was used as a respectful term until very recently, when feminists started being annoying about everything.

  • @enternius To be even more obvious, what they say is actually "Ser". It's pronounced the same as sir, but is more of a knightly title IIRC.

  • @NickResonance Sir has always been the title for Knights in Britain and "Ser" is entirely made up by Bioware i can asure you.

  • @enternius now facebook groups about putting women back into the kitchen and making men sandwiches is going to put everything back to how it was :D

  • @thetwistedboy You SIR Are A Genious! we All Need To Stand Behind This Group!!!!!!!!!

  • @enternius Pointing out the obvious to the misinformed. In Dragon Age they don't use sir, but ser, which is a specific in-universe gender-neutral equivalent of sir. Bet BioWare did it specifically to avoid pointless debates such as this :p

  • @enternius

They're sayin' 'SER (name)' not 'Sir'
