I successfully connected 2 emulators on one computer. But how can I have both emu windows on top at the same time? me and my gf wants to play "split screen", but only the emulator on top reads the pushing of the buttons. Help anyone?

hi, i need some help, can you tell me which version of the sega model 2 emulator are you using in the video?

because the daytona usa link's very well but.... the the indy500 start linked ok but in the 2 few seconds throws me netowork error...

i dont know what is the real problem... the emulator or the rom

@IrishRetroGamer Most Model2 games (at least the 4 or 5 I've played) have an option in their setup screens that you can switch between "Japan", "USA" and "Export". The "Winners Don't Use Drugs" screens only seem to appear when it's set to "USA"

Actually, in the American version, the "Winners Don't Use Drugs" screen is shown, followed by the "Sega Rally" logo. Ditto with most other Model 2 games cleared for American release.

i follow what you did for the netowrk files,,, the network also show the message of checking network now,

let's say PC 1 and PC2

PC1 is master and PC2 is slave

what should we set for the port and IP and next port,

what IP we need to set to,?

PC1 set to PC2 IP?

or both PC set to the PC1 IP as PC1 is master?

or m i wrong among the solution here?

First you need to know what port your PC's are using, defined by "RxPort" in the m2network.ini. Let's say we make PC1 with port 27015, and PC2 with port 27016. (you can use any port number, doesn't matter)

Now, set PC1's "NextIP" to PC2's IP, then set your PC2's "NextIP" to PC1's IP. Do the same for "NextPort", so each PC will have each other's "RxPort".

You don't have Model 2 Emulator v0.7 or later. The latest one is 0.8a, as I said at the bottom.

There is a way to establish a link on one computer or over a LAN with multiple CPUs.

Here's how:

1. Open up Notepad and put the following:

RxPort=1978

NextIP=127.0.0.1

NextPort=1978

2. Save the file with the name m2network.ini in the same directory with the emulator.

3. On the primary screen, set the link mode (sometimes linkID) to master, and any other screens to slave.

I tried this but it just keeps saying network checking on the slave screen and doesn't boot up.. I even changed the car number to 2.. and had the master to car 1.. the master says Link Sys: up to 1 racers wanted.. oh well

You have a problem. The folders actually need the correct config, with copies in seperate files and slightly different m2network.ini codes. Search the S P E K S N K forums for the codes. I'm not posting them.
