Seriously, what's with the hate? It's a well-made intro for the season-that-never-was. The season 4 that some poor unfortunates have seen should be expunged from history. If they ever bring the show back ala Knight rider you know they'll ignore the existing season 4 because it was nonsense. THIS should have been the real season 4 intro. The helicopter was leased to cbs, sold years later, and didn't get crashed until the early 90's. This can't be season 4 intro because Stringfellow Hawke was the only character that was brought in to transition the series to the USA network after it was cancelled by CBS. Ernest Borgnine was not even in the 4th season but his character Dominic Santini was killed off in the first few minutes of the 1st episode without showing his face of course.

After moving the show to the USA network the quality of the show went downhill.  pretty sad.

Yes. They killed people in the show, but always had no choice and were always remorseful for having to do it. Unlike today where people are killed gratuitously, without any regard for human life. It was all down hill after the 80's. I'll take the shows back where people didn't get killed any day. These were good wholesome shows with values. It is a tragedy that shows like this seem to be gone forever.
