that what you have to do when your abou to get pinned you have to move out of the ring so they restart you and your on bottom and you get a chance to escape
not at all. he was trying to get into position the entire time. he didn't just crawl out, he worked up also. by the way, I hate penn state more than anything, so I hate to have to say it is not fleeing the mat.
he is just trying to get a restart lol. fleeing the mat happens 95% of the time when theyre on their feet and one person avoids a takedown by getting out of bounds
My initial thought was no penalty. If your opponent is riding a turk you choice is to knee slide forward. But if you watch closely, he uses his left leg to intentionally move out of bounds. Good call ref.
fleeing the mat? Come on...when your on ground work unless its super obvious, you shouldnt be penalized. Only if your standing up does fleeing the mat matter more often.
hey guys i hate it when people do this but anyway im gonna do it. check out my profile i got a video of some of my wrestling footage if you guys could check it out and maybe give me some pointers thatd be great
he wasn't even giving up backs though. he was in no danger of getting turned, he was simply relieving the pressure of the turk. thats ridiculous. its like saying doing a standup and going out of bounds before you can complete it is "fleeing". He was in the process of escaping. getting out of the turk so he can get back to his base and work.
not fleeing your coach should teach u how to get out of bounds if ur being turned fleeing is only on ur feet and u back up or turn and run out of bounds
he was trying to get out of bounds because he knew if he didn't he was going to get stuck. therefore he is purposely getting out of bounds which is what it means, fleeing the mat.
nah. he was tryin to crawl forward n not give up a pin. I did that 5 times once in a match against the region champ. Ref didnt call anything so i just got teched insted of pinned.
he should have just kept riding or let him go, going for the cradle was so stupid, but yes i think it was the wrong call, even though he may had have the intention of going off the mat, it did look like he was trying to belly out
i say u got 2 let them wrestle in that situation. it's pretty hard 2 tell from this snipit, but the rest of the match has 2b taken into consideration. but a tough call at that stage of the match. it's his own fault 4trying 2muscle that cradle over with poor technique
I hate when I get called for stalling or fleeing the mat when somebody has my dam arm on my back, and they are trying to turn me. Damnit, if I move I'm getting pin, let me fight my god damn arm out.
I hear you man it's a bitch. I usually just build my base and sit through's up the ying yang and then when I get on top give the guy a nice hard cross-face across the nose for the pain before.
So, I guess when someone is trying to turn you to your back, you're supposed to sit there and wait for it to happen, right? Heaven forbid you move away from the turn, right?
you guys are dumb, the announcer even says it. the only way to get out of that position is to crawl forward. ive been hit with the same thing and its bs because anyone who knows anything about position and wrestling knows that crawling forward is the way to get out of that, or atleast improve your position
thats fleeing if I've ever seen it. I don't think it was intentional to stop the match or anything I think it was because when you have top position your scared as hell to lose that and this guy did a stupid move and let the bottom man out of his half. this took the guy on top completely by surprise and he was trying to move to the edge of the mat probably for better leverage point if i had to guess must not have realized how close he was
I can see how it could go either way. It was an obvious attempt at getting off the mat. But I don't think that it should have been called. That's where the judgement of the referee comes in, I guess. Didn't Davis win this match anyway? I can't remember.
Bad call. That's how you defend the turk, by moving forward.

Fleeing? If there were four more feet of mat there, Davis would have fleed right to his back, because that's where Bergman was taking him.

When you get put in a turk, your supposed to "army crawl" out of it. Davis just so happened to be at the egde of the mat.

ref was likely influenced by an idiot coach telling him to flee the mat instead of saying flee the turk. Perception over reality
jbankes2 4 years ago
no way fleeing the mat. let them wrestle. only one way to go..away from the turk
