Put on some headphones when playing. Turn up the volume. The sound only gives you the feeling of some kind of confirmation that you pressed the button on the right time. You can also hear it so it hits perfectly on time.. that's my thought of it :P. Me with my cute DJ DAO FP7 controller.

He stopped making Platinum editions because they had notorious scratch problems. However, he released the Platinum edition evolution which fixes the problem from what I'm told, though it is a little more expensive, but it is a sweet controller.

The evolution also has a more arcade accurate turntable, as far as dimensions go.

It's lame if you have no patience because this game is possibly the hardest music game around and has one of the steepest learning curves of any music game.

Like jumping from as low as level 3s to 4s seems impossible at first.

The worst learning curve (for me at least) was level 7, where songs got more scratch heavy.

For me, jumping from 10 to 11 is really difficult. I've been playing iidx since 2001, but still can't beat most of the lv.11 songs.. :( and 12 is just.... crazy!

I've only had distorted for a few weeks now and before that only BMUS, so the most experience i had was a year of playing BMUS with two 10s under my belt. And since I got DD, i've moved from being 5-dan to 8-dan and passing most 10s and 5 11s so far.

And the really cool thing is that he has it set to Random mode, so he has no idea of what's coming. He can't memorize the song if it's randomized, so that makes it so much more awesome!!!
