same here in the netherlands 550 euro that is something like 1200$ but you can take here I don't if thats in brazil to an abbonoment ( don't know if it english to ) anyways than you pay in month 30 euro for 300 minutes call and 600 sms to send with the phone "free"

550 is about 700 dollars btw =] And, here in Belgium, (due to our stupid laws) no free phones for us. We have to pay full price plus the prepaid cards seperately. Hoozah for this fucked up country ! Hehe, in Belgium, the government is more concerned about the clients. They want to protect their citizens by making a law preventing them to get scammed by the big companies. So Belgian traders are obliged to give their clients exact numbers (Prices, the price-reductions,..) of their products. Also they can't cell products in combination with a contract to that company. That unfortunately (not xD) was in combat with the euro law which protects the freedom of the traders !

But actually, you DO get exact prices. You have a contract for about 2 years, paying up your 30 euro's a month for unlimited internet and a bundle with 20 euro's (if it isn't more) to call or text message. They can't make it more expensive when you don't feel like taking a bigger bundle, so that law doesn't make any sense to me... :P

Well the sony ericsson is basically like windows built onto a phone. I heard of HTC only 2 weeks ago or something. I don't trust HTC because its not very high on the board of mobile phone makes.. But i guess if you tell me what qualities you look for in a mobile phone i could tell you whats best for you. =)

I would have agreed with you but I just saw the released version with the new patch and it is just about as fast as it shows... maybe a hair slower but not very. It operates just about as they show it here. And the higher res is impressive.

Well.. I must admit, I'd be sooooo happy, if this was eventually true. I'm only afraid, that despite it looks fast (or at least faster) with production releases, it still can get annoyingly slow, once you have couple applications running on it. But that, I assume, is inevitable in any case.. :(

one thing I wondered about is the screen flip. in the video the screen smoothly flips as the keyboard is revealed. In all other videos I've seen, it doesn't do that. Also, in the same vein, in videos I've seen, the panels are sluggish to rearrange themselves when the keyboard is revealed.

I hope that the response time between panels for the production unit is as fast as what they show in this video demo. The pre-production units showed during road shows earlier in UK and the states are rather slow to response. I heard that it is coming out in Dec 08 in Singapore. No idea about the price though. Sigh. I hope that they do not postpond the launch date again. My neck is at least 4 inches longer from all that waiting since June this year.
