Thank you so much for all your videos on Portuguese knitting. I love the method, and the ability to use the yarn around your neck for tension. I'm full blooded Portuguese who moved to America and remember my mom crocheting all my life but she never knew how to knit so it was so nice to see how my culture knits. All your work in making these videos is really appreciated.
It was quit easy for me to learn this method, however the knit stitch is always too tight. The purl stitch is fine, though. If I have a project that requires purl stitch only, I'll use the Portuguese method, but for knitting and purling together, I use the Eastern European method because the knit stitch is not too tight.
I learned to knit when I was a child from portuguese aunts in Brazil. 40 years later i had forgotten and was trying to learn again but lessons from my frineds didn't make any sense until I discovered these videos. Thisis how I learned and this makes so much more sense!!! Thank you
a minha mãe tentou ensinar-me esta maneira, mas eu só aprendi o continental style. obrigada por demonstrares neste vídeo!

Man, I wish that I had learned to knit originally, I knit English style, and this looks SOOO much easier.
