DO NOT buy Rovio,it's a waste of time....

1.Rovio's camera lags a lot when you even control it localy.2.In order to speak and hear through Rovio's speaker and mic,you MUST have Internet Explorer installed.3.They say that Rovio's battery lasts for 2 hours.Still,it is not true,it lasts only for 10 minutes.4.Rovio can't dock it self into the charging station and hits to objects,also it can't record a path corectly.Cam quality sucks at night

I have it for 3 years and it has been my all time favorite "toy" to check on my cats at home. Luckily, my cats have no interested to attack it since there is absolutely no chance to outrun any of my cats! Despite of lower-than-expected kinda of video quality, it is still acceptable for me until I can find any alternative device that can be moving around and giving video feed over the Internet.

Why it is fake

1.Rovio's quality is not that awesome as this is.

2.This interface is fake cz rovio always has full navigation signal,full internet signal and full battery.

3.It has the 2nd head option but it kinda looks and the floor.

4.It seems clearly that it has been recorder with a camera and not with rovio cz it goes too slow.

5.Rovio does not works on windows 7

6.Rovio sometimes does not dock and charge

7.Rovio's quality camera suck.

8.Wowwee should make the 2nd version

@nbrado lol.Well this is my idea for the 2nd version.

1.Rovio 2 should be able to be controlled over the satellite.And locally you should be able to drive it over wifi of your pc and not over internet.

2.The truetrack beacon of charging dock sould be able to reach the 100 meter distance so Rovio 2 can find his home location even in 100 meter distance.

3.Rovio 2 should have 4 head positions.

@nbrado 4.Rovio's 2 interface should have an option for speaker and mic.It would be awesome if we could control it over satellite cz we could drive it to any place we want,without to worry if the wifi signal is going to end.and also we wouldn't even need internet connection to drive it.awesome idea eh?

I would say Rovio. First of, Spykee's site is a virus, and that place is where you download software from. BOTH OF THEM do have tiny lags, but that's all part of the camera. Spykee takes a long time to assemble, and costs more.. I tried Rovio, and liked it better than when I tried Spykee.

what a waste of money and time. even someone who can't walk or get out of bed will not need this "thing". every feature is bad; 30 minutes autonomy, crappy camera & microphone, only 3 camera positions (why not analogue?). very useless thing

@greedygreedy Remember that this thing is over a year old. Not until now software have started supporting HD webcams. Not all computers are capable of handling HD footage as well.

@Zanch5 the whole being at a conference or saying goodnight to ur daughter thing is rediculous but i think this could be a very useful alternative to an expensive security camera setup or a hiring a guard. if i had a warehouse or a big expensive house, this would be a good way to monitor it i imagine.

I am disappointed. Image is very dark compared to my other cheap webcams which have x10 times brighter image with the same room light on. quality on this video is fake. The image you get from rovio (room light) is poor and dark, its only illustration with good video camera .how could it be that this sophisticated product can't achieve the same brightness of cheap webcams. Maybe wowwee thought to earn money selling the headlight?

The battery power goes off maximum after 30min in good case.
