However I think that we could both agree that what isreal is doing is still wrong. And im not anti-semetic or any other sort of thing. I realize what the people of isreal have gone through and they have been through hell. However, what they are doing right now is still wrong. You could consider it a "chess game", but whats at stake is human life, which we must value, specially after we have learned from our many mistakes from the past. However accepting defeat for any nation or people is extremely difficult and unbearable, specially people who believe that they have god on their side and that they are doing it for god. And secondly, there is no telling what would happen if they give up their land, there is a high chance that that could lead to more rights being taken away from the arabs. So, whatever the palestinians do, their survival would be at stake.
Had arafat and the palestinian people honored the oslo accords, I have no doubt gaza would, at this very moment, be enjoying a healthy economy with open borders and free trade with Isreal. Then, the palestinians could have kept up a constant, peaceful movement via the UN, world court, public opinion to gain more land. Isreal would have been much more likely to accomodate a freindly neighbor instead of one bent on Isreal's destruction.

actually, that is a very primitive look on things. Palestinians and Israelis used to live in peace, but then the israelis began taking over palestinian land that wasnt theirs.
