I loved THE BOLEYN INHERITANCE and would love to see it as a movie. How about Anna Maxwell Martin as Anne, with Russell Crowe as Henry, Ruth Wilson as Jane, and Holliday Grainger as Katherine? ( A much better cast than the cinema version of THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL - all great actors but too glossy)
I have read all of Philipa Gregory's novels about the Tudors, henry, Mary And Elizabeth numerous times I find that regardless of how many times I have sat there and transported myself to that time it is always new. I don't think the movie version of The other boleyn girl does this masterpiece justice in any form. I c annot waitt to read the Red Queen. The white queen was fantastic. I think anyone who can read needs to experience these stories. Gregory is a Master at what she does. keep it coming
If you enjoy a good historical fiction read, check out Rosanne Lortz's book "I Serve: A Novel of the Black Prince." She also has a really cool book trailer.
I am at this moment reading "The Constant Princess" and very much like "The Other Boleyn Girl" it is one of my favourite novels ever. I just can't put it down. While I would never read it for any historical accuracy, it is a wonderful read and a brilliant tale that allows you to explore how she feels about the characters. I got her entire Tudor collection for Christmas so I am really looking forward to reading "The Other Boleyn Girl" again and her other novels for the first time. My fav writer!
forget the historical part though, Gregory leans much more towards writing a novel, fact checking not so much,so please don't think you are getting your english history by reading her books. Not discrediting her, she is more entertainment, light reading writer, if any of you are trully interested in history try Alison Weir, cheers~
I just wanted to say I think you're amazing. I'm on The Queen's Fool now. I've read The Other Bolyne Girl and The Bolyne inheritance. I can't wait to read the others. I'm amazed about Queen ElizabethI and her history and I've been trying to find books like these. So thank you so much for writing these.
