This phone is an okay average phone. Nothing great but not bad. I had for a year and a half and it restarted itself once in a while then it would start to turn off. It didn't happen that much but I just recently lost it :(

If you value your sanity don't get this phone. It is the absolute piece of trash in the world, it will make you go insane. It does not work. All i ever wanted it to do was just to stay on when i put it in my pocket, set it on the table. You will go absolutely insane if you get this phone. Verizon had to replace it 3 times, it never once worked! If you try and say charge it it gives you messages like use genuine battery and then it shuts off when you are using the battery it came with.

This was a pretty sturdy phone for a typical teenager that loves to text! The only thing was that it would randomly shut off, but if your careful and don't drop it too much, you'll be fine. I definantly reccomend this phone. Sadly, I ran over mine with a bike and now it's worthless, but at least the battery and memory card survived! TOTALLY RECCOMEND!

Sometimes it'll shut off in my pocket. But if you don't mind that, then get it. It's a pretty good phone overall. :)
I had 2 of them had the maroon one which kept shutting of then got Verizon to ad some software and the problem was solved. That phone I lost so I got another one . The slate blue one and love it so far no problems

Let me save you 3:34 of your life. This phone is by far the WORST i've ever had! Shuts off (10-25 times DAILY) for no reason, says my charger cable is "not recommended for this phone" says my battery is not original equipment, gets a 'downloading' error screen which freezes the phone, the f&*^#&g speaker stopped working (now only works on speakerphone) and erases call logs and missed calls without warning. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

People say this phone is terrible. BUT IT'S NOT. My friend has a slate blue enV 3 and so far I haven't ever seen him with any problems with it. I have the enV Touch and in my time I have had no problems with it. It has never shut off on me. I did hack the theme, because it got pretty boring. The only problem I had was the battery, because it has 2 large displays, so it tends to have a dead battery. Still. NOT AS BAD AS YOU THINK. GOOD PHONE. GREAT CAMERA.

This phone is awesome. I've had mine for about 2 years and I haven't had any problems with it. It is very durable because I have dropped it numerous times and it still works fine and the keyboard is fast and convinient and does not lag at all so you can type as fast as you want. The only problem I had was that it wouldn't send messages when I first got it, but I took it to a verizon dealer and they fixed the problem in under 5 min. You should definitely consider getting this phone.
I am not much of a fan of Verizon, my wife had a cell phone with verizon for several years,
Now she is sick in the hospital for last year, and can, t even talk and verizon will not even cancel he subscription it was set up on automatic pay direct from the bank. Don’t ever set up automatic pay with Verizon for when you try to ccncel they will not let you and will keep on charging you and the only way you can stop them is to close your bank account.
You need to take this into a Verizon store if it is shutting off. They have resolved that issue. However, I hate hearing my voice echoing back at me. At least I don't have to buy a data package.

I just wanna say no one needs a touch screen, all they do is break...A lot of cool phones like the Droid have a touch screen but if you drop it once without a case u gotta pay another $150.

@XReliableBiscuitX Texting on Touch phones really do suck. I had a Chocolate Touch and just got a Blackberry Bold 9650. Although the 9650 is nice as hell, texting is easy, its not worth the near $1 grand I'd spend on the service for the 2 years I have it. But the Choc. Touch texting was bad, constant texting mistakes. Stick with the physical QWERTY keyboards like the Env's have in my opinion.
@ReVerseRaPT0R Thanks for responding. Someone told me earlier that Verizon just added all this 'data plan' stuff to their phones in the past year or so. When I was looking at getting this phone when it first came out, you didn't even need a data plan for most of their phones unless they were smartphones. Ugh, thanks Verizon.

@Benard355 you can clean the battery transmitters off with cotton swabs and it'll fix the random shut offs. mine never shuts off now.

This phone is awesome. I've had mine for about 2 years and I haven't had any problems with it. It is very durable because I have dropped it numerous times and it still works fine and the keyboard is fast and convinient and does not lag at all so you can type as fast as you want. The only problem I had was that it wouldn't send messages when I first got it, but I took it to a verizon dealer and they fixed the problem in under 5 min. You should definitely consider getting this phone.

I am not much of a fan of Verizon, my wife had a cell phone with verizon for several years,
Now she is sick in the hospital for last year, and can, t even talk and verizon will not even cancel he subscription it was set up on automatic pay direct from the bank. Don’t ever set up automatic pay with Verizon for when you try to ccncel they will not let you and will keep on charging you and the only way you can stop them is to close your bank account.

You need to take this into a Verizon store if it is shutting off. They have resolved that issue. However, I hate hearing my voice echoing back at me. At least I don't have to buy a data package.

Worst phone ever, so many problems. Shuts off in your pocket, restarts in your pocket, restarts while texting, doesn't recieve texts + calls, and normal phone calls doesn't work most times.

@ShanetheGamer i went to the store to see why it does that, and when they made the phone the made the battery to small for it, so the battery will come undone, thats why it cutes off.

i had this phone & when i first got it i thought it was amazing because of picture/video/keyboard but after a week it started to shut off a bit then it started shutting off CONSTANTLY and it drove me insane!! so glad i have a different phone

i have this phone and it does ramdomly shut off i am on my 2nd one in 4 months and i am ready for my 3rd....if i had a choice again i would pick the touch...but it is a GREAT phone for texting but i dont like it

Whatever you do, DONT get this phone! Mine shuts itself off ALL the time, and when I go on the thing to try and get ringtones, it shuts off then to. Horribleeee.

I've had this phone for over a year, it works pretty good. The only downside is that it can be extremely slow at times.

I just wanna say no one needs a touch screen, all they do is break...A lot of cool phones like the Droid have a touch screen but if you drop it once without a case u gotta pay another $150.

@XReliableBiscuitX Texting on Touch phones really do suck. I had a Chocolate Touch and just got a Blackberry Bold 9650. Although the 9650 is nice as hell, texting is easy, its not worth the near $1 grand I'd spend on the service for the 2 years I have it. But the Choc. Touch texting was bad, constant texting mistakes. Stick with the physical QWERTY keyboards like the Env's have in my opinion.

@ReVerseRaPT0R Thanks for responding. Someone told me earlier that Verizon just added all this 'data plan' stuff to their phones in the past year or so. When I was looking at getting this phone when it first came out, you didn't even need a data plan for most of their phones unless they were smartphones. Ugh, thanks Verizon.

i HATE my enV3! its terrible! it keeps shutting off. and verizon has replac ed 6 of my enV3's...and they refuse to give me a diffrent phone. TERRIBLE. i DO NOT reccomend getting this phone. EVER GO AT&T!
