Honestly I doubt the apps on the pre will compare to most of the iPhone apps. The coding is all done in html if I'm not mistaken. What can you possibly code in html outside of webpages that could possibly be useful. We will see on launch day though.

its completely open source and the apps are built with html, css, and java so the same way apps are being created for the iphone they will be for the pre... the issue is iphone owners aka mac people are more likely to plug away at creating apps and may not really be interesting in creating anything for the pre cause they are busy with the iphone... i like it though and for the price, warranty, and plan costs it has my vote and my money when it comes out...

Considering I have owned several Macs, and Both iPhones, this says a lot, but I think the Pre looks fantastic. I just hope they can get some apps that go along with such an incredible looking UI. The iPhone has wolfenstein, metalgear, sonic the hedgehog, resident evil, tiger woods, etc... While not everyone is in it for the gaming, the app store has proven to be a HUGE success for Apple. I'm not 100% sold on the Pre, but I certainly gets my vote when my contract is up!

I was Totally Excited for this phone to come out. The constant early advertisements and long wait really killed it i think. The phone's features look great but the keyboard like the centro and the treo pro's a bit small and a struggle to type messages and emails. I recently bought a Blackberry and i'm in love with this phone. I think i'm going to continue being a blackberry user now and in the future.
