Senator Leahy is right--there MUST BE an investigation of this.
But a REAL INVESTIGATION this time, not just the empty theater that so often passes for "real investigations," wherein the American people are once again fooled into believing that something has been thoroughly investigated, when in fact only low-level operatives are ever charged (if anyone at all), and the matter is swept neatly under the rug.
Senator Leahy is one of the few people I still trust in Congress.

I'm totally in favor and will sign. It's a step in the right direction. We should also investigate Democrats in on the same thing... and that's why the investigation won't go very far. It's all about partisanship and winning elections. If the Democrats were to investigate, they themselves would be investigated. I don't see Obama repealing any of Bush's police state initiatives or doing anything meaningful towards ending unjustifiable foreign entanglements.

You're a bit late, the senate supported the resolution overwhelmingly. They can turn around now and say it was under false pretenses but for all the blame on warmongering they never once spoke up when it mattered, with the sole exception of Kucinich in the Senate and Paul in the House.
Meanwhile, there is no risk of Saddam continuing any program of any kind, no more guessing why he kept kicking out the inspectors.

I did not support the war in Iraq, but the US Senate did. It was a stupid war that wasted the lives of many young Americans. That said, it seems that Cheney has been surprisingly honest and upfront about water boarding. Compare this to Pelosi who confessed that she knew since 2003, thought it was wrong, but went along anyway.
