  • NONE OF THE LOOK INDIAN WHERE IS THE ADMIXTURE IN APPEARANCE AND CULTURE?

  • @azar783408 The Garifuna is the so-called "BLACK CARIBS."

  • @Hotters70601ben its very easy to trace. right here on youtube you can still see africans practicing the very same dance and customs.

  • When the "BLACK CARIBS" FOUGHT the BRITISH in those two CARIB WARS, the YELLOW CARIBS hardly lifted a FINGER to ASSIST their blood brothers. In fact, they assisted the British. The TWO MAIN KNOWN CHIEFS DURING that PERIOD in time were CHATOYER and DUVALIER...both were "BLACK CARIBS." Chatoyer, as you already knew, was the PARAMOUNT CHIEF of the "BLACK CARIBS" and is now the FIRST NATIONAL HERO of St. VINCENT and the GRENADINES.

  • @Hotters70601ben part of your STATEMENT is INCORRECT.

The GARIFUNA PEOPLE are ACTUALLY those who are MIXED and were so-called "BLACK CARIBS." It is the "BLACK CARIBS who FOUGHT VALIANTLY against the FRENCH and the BRITISH during the so-called "CARIB WARS" in St. Vincent. Matter of fact, there were CIVIL WARS amongst the so-called "YELLOW CARIBS" and the "BLACK CARIBS" in St. Vincent...to such extreme that the FRENCH/BRITISH HELPED to SETTLED those DISPUTES.

  • @Hotters70601ben ..do u have comprehension problems? who said we came from Africa...There were no Garifuna Tribe until Arawaks & Caribs & Africans intermixed "black caribs"..we are decendants of both ....Mayb u need to google what "descendants" mean.....idk where u live but u need to come to St.Vincent sandy bay so we can Teach people like u who r color/RACE struck & swimming in ignorance: ORIGINAL HISTORY--that no1 denies...i won't bother to read your response...ignorance is bliss:) lol

  • Ok people Here is is from a REAL BLACK CARIB VINCENTIAN....all u foreigners don't know what the fuck u are are talking about..Garifunas were not slaves! but we came from descendants OF SLAVES!....All u people trying to diss Africa, PLEASE do not come to my country....b/c we are proud of BOTH!

  • @Hotters70601ben ..WHAT?.....U make no sense...u said the Africans shipwrecked were slaves....Garifunas were not slaves so that means u are not African?.. so Being African means slavery?...so where did the BLACKS come from in the term "black carib".lmaoooo .I am From St.Vincent , my mother is a Carib & if u EVER came here and DISS Africa u would have to run back to ur country..b/c we celebrate Africa & Indigenous Culture

  • Garifuna! SLAVES? teach the real thing come correct with you information. They were never slaves they were the only ones that fought off the pigs! They tried to capture them but never succeeded everyone knows that. The media always trying to corrupt the minds of our youth and misleading the people Tell The Truth!!!1

  • @KemetBlack I dont know if im right, but all I know is that the Garifuna came from the black people that the Carib took by slaves

  • @MyUnfamous You're wrong. They intermarried with them, they did not enslave them.

  • @dayne86 I think im right, becouse Kalinago took as slaves everyone that were hostiles, they killed the men and stayed with the womens

  • @MyUnfamous they did that to the arawaks not to the africans.

  • @MyUnfamous the kalinago save the african.some kalinago mix with some africans and that tribe was called garifuna.the garifuna[ they took advantage of the fact that their african side in them cause them to be stronger built] became mean to the kalinago and force them to live close to the volcano which is why you can find many kalinago in that area in st vincent today.

  • @MyUnfamous the europeans saw the disagreement bewteen tribes and they took a chance to go afteer them by seprating them to different islands [ im think that the eutrropeans killed some at this time too].it seems that the only people that the kalinago were nice to in history were the africans.

  • @KemetBlack thank you. You are correct! The Garifuna people were NEVER SLAVES! We are the OLDEST PEOPLE of the Americas. I don't understand why it is so hard for people to comprehend this. We are descendents of the Shi or Olmecs. We built the pyramids, cultivated the land, and civilizations. Look at how easy it is for the lamb to regurgitate the information that was given to them. Hey Lambs...read Leo Weiner's book Africa and the Discovery of America.

  • WE WAS NEVER SLAVES

  • @gurfuna we were slaves and we overcame. This sound, this dance, this form of expression.

IS AFRICAN. So the name garifuna may not be of african origin. but i can more than garauntee you that this culture is FULLLLLULLLYYY AFRICAN..... because they still do it exactly like this today.

anyone can fabricate history. but reality dispells the myths and fables...

  • @MrRoachiee3 after i check your page i se why you are on youtube .Just to come on black peoples pages and saying lies like your fathers.THese people are indegenous to Honduras or they mix with the indegenous blacks who were there before your uncle cristobal colon rampant the place,In the same way you have the "lowe man" indegenous blacks from Suriname/Amazon of whom some ixed with the marroons

  • @khufu65 stop this ignorance. look, here's the trick.

GO ON YOUTUBE, AND SEE AFRICANS DOING THE SAME THING TODAY.

And I dont mean after they watched you on youtube.

Then ask yourself the only logical question. If this is still practiced in Africa, how did it get in the Caribbean?? did you go over to Africa?? it's a no brainer.

furthermore the caribbean is a mixture of all sorts. And i don't know what you reason is to fight the African in people.
