Sorry Magnetic Fields... your version (which of course is the ORIGINAL) is quite good... but Peter Gabriels's cover version simply is the best... by far! I saw him performing it in Berlin in March 2010... it was one of the most touching concerts of my life. My band and I tried to cover the song - you can hear it on my channel ;-)
There are many different cover versions of the Magnetic Fields' original (for instance there is an interesting one on my channel), but Peter Gabriel's version is by far just simply the very best!

i was searching for the artist of this song when i came across this vid and began watching it. my twin daughters heard the song and sat next to me to watch it too. i'm 22 and my babies are 2. it breaks my heart knowing that they will grow up and lead their own lives some day, and the days past by so fast. it's true what ppl say, kids grow up fast. very fast. i just hope they don't forget me and their mommy.. i'm sure your vid hit your dad hard. it was very touching. :)
