Actually, the Warrior of Light (WoL) is based off of the "Fighter" job of the original FF. It's the default "leader" job of the game. On top of that, WoL transforms into a Knight when he enters EX Mode, which is what a Fighter in FF becomes when he goes through a Job class upgrade.

The design of WoL wasn't used in FF, but was seen in promotional artwork. In Dissidia, his alternate costume is red, resembling the red Fighter/Knight sprites from FF.

i noticed that WoL doesn't have a scene where the baddie is kickin ass/gaining the upper hand ff2 firion got pwned ff3 ok got blasted ff4 cecil got electrocuted ff5 bartz had trouble againts exdeath's sword let alone exdeath himself ff6 kefka was gaining the upper hand ff7 cloud got slashed by two good hits ff8 squall had a hard time hitting her ff9 zidane was dodgin magic whilst goin in circles ff10 tidus got hit...hard SE probs wanted to make him the best since he was the first

yeah good guys are just resisting their atacks.... that's one of the messages of Final Fantasy.. No matter how strong are the vilains heroes with their hearts connected can win cause only cause they have something or someone who want to protect... a dream or a beloved one.. For example take the scene from FFVII AC where Sephiroth asks Cloud "what u cherish most? ... " its the moment where Cloud takes strenght to defeat Sephiroth... Pretty childish huh?? but i like it..! :)

firion got pwned the most out of all the other cosmos warriors in dissidia storyline wise. first he got beat by sephiroth, who took away his rose afterwards and then by cloud strife in a casual match. guess this would allude to his unlucky tendency to run into overpowered enemies at the beginning of FF2.

yea as much as i like firion i would have to agree with ya (and lol at the beginning of ff2 uber pwnage then).....but u have to admit they probably did that so he could do that awesome move with all his weapons aiming at the opponent...they did it twice it's so good!!

pff never knew sephiroth liked roses....i wonder if he wanted to give it to someone else apart from cloud or maybe cloud was the target if ya know wat i mean lol

actually if you look at the translations, Sephiroth only beats Cecil, not Firion. Cecil gets injured by Sephiroth when Firion loses his rose when Firion loses his rose he chases after sephy and Tidus stays with Cecil because he is hurt. Because of that the Warrior chases after them and stops Firion BEFORE he fights Sephiroth. Sephy then fights the warrior because the Warrior is mad about how he "hurt his friend".Firion and Sephy never actually face off Warrior gets there before anything happens

I saw the translation of the final trailer so I can give you a vague description about it.

Gabrath was was basically saying that the future is only for the strong. Only strong people can live. And Shannato was just laughing and said that the future is something that one must take by force. I don't know what Cosmos is thinking of, but I believe she is pondering about the choice of words Shannato said.
