  • It faked me off for a minute there...

  • Is that backdrop fake??(snickers)

  • @TheMemphisSlim

yeah ofcourse it is haha :P

  • Who is this singing harmony with Ray? I've seen him in lots of old country vids but never heard his name that I recall.

  • @bgdenham Van Howard is singing high harmony

  • What the hell?!?!

  • Hey Paige61: please tell me about Ray's wedding that you attended. I don't know anything about his personal life but am curious. Who did he marry? So many of his songs are about heartache. I hope he was and still is lucky in love!

  • This is only county as county music can be, I remember Ray Price on WSM T.V.

  • outstanding video!

  • Pay very close attention you slags in Trashville, TN., THIS is how country music is supposed to sound, are you tone deaf bast_-_s paying attention? Get your heads out from under TS's dress and pay close attention here, hear, REAL country music is being played by a national treasure!

  • i was at Duke Hulsey game farm Tangipanos Parish La. The Sunday ray Price got married Charlie Venable

  • Where did they get the corn stalks?

  • Ray Price Can't do no wrong he's the best example of how country music is suppose ot sound like smooth and slick love the Fiddles and Steel Guitars Country music has lost it's foundation now days and i would give anything to have this kind of Country back again instead of that junk they play now on Radio and on Cmt any way Ray took this to #1 on 9-16-57.

  • @TheSkaggs54 You are so right. I would also give anything to have real country music back as well. Country music of today is really pop rock with a twang(if they even bother to do that any more!) I just can't see why they can't just put it into the right category It's for sure NOT real country music such as this is. They certainly could learn a few lessons from MR.Ray Price..............

  • @TheSkaggs54 This was first recorded by Bob Wills in 1955 and was written by Texas Playboy Lee Ross, Lee also wrote "Curtain In The Window" that Ray also recorded. Both of these tunes are still played today at dances in Texas by the BETTER Western Swing/Shuffle bands(Nix, Flores, Hooker & Mata)

  • Probably the most perfect country song, and performance. Classic.

  • And Jimmy day on PS. Woo Hoooo!

  • @60lab Potna, Jimmie Day died and is buried in TEXAS cause that is where the last stronghold of this music is and always will be!

  • Thanks a million!

  • Is this from the Louisiana Hayride? Great video; where did you get it?

  • @Mufaso1000 "Country Style, USA" is a series of 15-minute radio and film programs produced by the US Army as a recruiting aid from 1957 to 1960 featuring top American country music artists.

  • @Gatorrock787 : Thanks for the reply. Where can I get these films?

  • @Mufaso1000 Bear Family Records has issued four DVDs featuring all four seasons. Do a search for Country Style U.S.A on Amazon dot-com

  • @Gatorrock787 Those bastards! Haha, if i were alive back then they would have had me. Not that they don't now... But it isn't nearly as romantic as a story....
