  • I was there when they did this...IT WAS AMAZING.

  • the cameras here always make everyone look so skinny

  • who choreographed this?

  • @emilyannmeyer24 April James was the choreographer

  • I'm not saying I'm for sure about this, but I'm PRETTY sure that the Glee "Anything Goes" number stems from this. And maybe from the current Broadway production, but... Anybody else see some similarities?

  • A Sutton medley.

  • @ChoirShow actually the Orange tie the boys wear in the ballad is from the 2009 Let's Twist Again

  • @1scfanatic 2008. You are right.

  • @1scfanatic The show was not made up of past shows, although it was the groups 20th anniversary. They did have on ice skate in '99 in their "Fire & Ice" show. None of the songs, however, had been sung before. The opener for example wasn't even a song until the musical "The View From Here" in 2006. You can see every past Totino show on YouTube until 2001 I believe. The same goes for one of the songs in the Attitude Medley. Wynnona Judd's "Attitude" was not released until 2005.

  • @ChoirShow The only costume used from a previous year was the opener which you can see in "Attitude Dance," the groups opener in 2004.

  • show choir on ice??? the ice skaters are just a distraction...

  • I'm sure in person it's better, they are great. I wished they would televise the competition. Then sound would be perfect. My kids did band and if a game is televised they always advertise during the halftime show. Wouldn't it be great for this talented kids to get some exposure. They show college football, why not real High School Music competitions and Hollywood could donate money to the Music programs since fund raising is always a issue. Music is never funded well but sports are.

  • Is there a rule about not being miked? I wished we could hear them better. I wish they were miked, especially when they turn away the sound doesn't carry very well.

  • @Pattyjo46 yes, well there are choir mics but there are no individual mikes used usually unless someone has a solo

  • @Pattyjo46 yes, well there are choir mics but there are no individual mikes used usually unless someone has a solo. I don't know what you mean, you can hearthem just fine. Plus, remember this is a recording of the actual performance in which case it would be louder/clearer if you had been there.

  • Incredible......

  • I'm glad I read the Parade article. This was well worth seeing and enjoying. I'm out of breath. Wow!

  • This is a delight, as when Rap was the thing it was WHERE IS THE TALENT! This shows hard work and talent, YAY!!!

  • Are they each individually miked?

  • @corvus13 no, the only mic's are at the front of the stage. They are just that strong vocally. Listen to their Le Mis ballad to get an idea of the individual talent in the group and to hear their powerful vocals. They received standing ovations at every competition for their ballad

  • wow! I just saw info on them in the new Parade magazine!

  • Did they win?

  • @annagitana1 they NEVER lost once. (including captions, band, even soloist. they swept and had a PERFECT year)

  • I gave you a standing ovation at my desk. BRAVO!!!!

  • Wow. And I thought schools got no art funding.

  • @Loony1393 They really don't. Most show choirs, including this one, are largely funded by fundraising, done by the students and their incredibly supportive and dedicated families. Show choir staffs are typically there because they love the art form and care about the kids, not for how much they're being paid. Directors work hard to find the best deals on every costume, set piece, and trip that is involved in a show choir season. Parents sew, paint, build, chaperone, etc. It's a labor of love.

  • the guys are much better then girls, which is almost never the case. Nice dancing girls, but I mean it's hard to listen. Especially the end.

  • @tmich93 Listen to the attitude medley that COS performed the same year. You'll change your mind, both are equally good.

  • the guys are much better then girls, which is almost never the case.

  • Those are Navy Regulation Uniforms...
