Look at the 1827 Greek constitution. "A Greek is a person who is baptized". As a muslim, you must introduce various Arab words into your vocabulary, you can't make the sign of the cross during your military oath, you can't kiss the cross on the flag pole, etc. You lose your Hellenism completely.

Islam is based on the beliefs of man at the time, some of which was based on empirical evidence they had at the time. Also, Muslims had various very good rationalists and philosophers who I am sure had a hand in the Koran. @erhanvb Because Greeks are Orthodox Christian. Being Greek is about language and culture. Our culture is Orthodoxy. If you are muslim then you are no longer a part of our culture and you are not "Romios" or "A Roman" as we say in Greek. Just like the 1831 Greek constitution says, a Greek is somebody who speaks Greek and is baptized. Greece is NOT a secular country. We have a state religion. The Cross is on our flag. you make the sign of the cross when you take your military oath. etc...

There is no such thing as Turkish blood or Greek blood or Italian blood etc. If a british person, Moves to Greece, Becomes Orthodox, Changes their name to a Greek name and speaks Greek than they are Greek because they have become hellenized. Just like other Non-Greeks who have been hellenized like the Pelasgians, Lydians, Phrygians, Minoans etc...

I understand that Orthodoxy is part of Greek culture, but I think it is complete and utter ignorance to suddenly convert someone who is Greek to be outcast and called a Turk. Open your eyes, all it takes to be Greek is to have Greek blood. Greek Muslims should be proud of their heritage and culture, and I'm sure that not the ENTIRE Greek culture is based on Christianity.

@satoofi93 I just said why. He is a Turk because he has renounced Orthodoxy and baptism and therefore renounced his Hellenism. Atheism is a different situation all together. Look at the 1827 Greek constitution. "A Greek is a person who is baptized". As a muslim, you must introduce various Arab words into your vocabulary, you can't make the sign of the cross during your military oath, you can't kiss the cross on the flag pole, etc. You lose your Hellenism completely.

Islam is based on the beliefs of man at the time, some of which was based on empirical evidence they had at the time. Also, Muslims had various very good rationalists and philosophers who I am sure had a hand in the Koran. Besides, before we even get as far as the Koran we have to deal with the old testament which has equally little credibility.

getriht... 400,000 Albanians (who are not any believers anyway...) should not be there in the first place. There are some 80,000 Turks whose place was not there anyway (the 100,000 are Pomaks of course no relation to Turks), and the rest of the immigrants are illegal immigrants.
Greece should have only the 100,000 Pomaks who should be left to abide to any religion but NOT to have any ties at all with the turks who play dirty tricks.

Theodosius used monks from Greece to destroy pagans which means Greek Christians killed Greek pagans....

Greece always was and is an ORTHODOX country and that's the way it SHOULD be and the way God intended it. Islam should be OUTLAWED in Greece! The very people that oppressed us for hundreds of years and burnt down our churches and monasteries and slaughtered our people in the most barbaric ways for not converting to islam... these same people are trying to have islam in Greece?! Muslim propaganda tries to convince itself and potential "converts". Their propaganda has a few purposes.
1) To legitimize their heretical religion in Greece
2) To attract people to their heretical religion
3) To one day absorb Greece under the umbrella of the heretical religion of Islam and penetrate Europe even further
