According to Wikipedia, they will release Resident Evil 5 Alternative Edition on a full retail disc for PS3 and Xbox 360 in February 2010 then they will release it as DLC for PS3 and Xbox360 in March 2010

i think the thing is last time they separated the vs mode and the game and we have to buy vs mode, then updated the trophy even if u didnt buy it, plus-vs mode sucks! then they want u to buy a completely new game, and it seems like there's not much content. to be honest, i am waiting for my friend to test it out first :P

It's been confirmed as DLC in Europe and America now. Plus they are releasing a new unanounced scenario as well as new characters for the mercenaries apparently.

They should've put this in the game as an unlockable location. I mean WTF? The game itself had so little content that it's over before you know it and it was retailed at full price. Now we have to pay separately for an "expansion" pack? I know it's busyness, but still. Anyways, it seems to be more puzzle solving oriented than the original RE5. I hope we get to see some zombies instead of parasites and stuff.

According to IGN, the game can be played either with the PlayStation Motion Controller or the motion controls of the standard Dual Shock 3 controller. The new episode was reportedly considered for the primarily release, but put off, and eventually deemed too large to be released as a downloadable add-on for the original game. As in Resident Evil 5, players can tackle the episode alone or in online/local co-op mode with each player guiding one of the two playable characters.

i think they have to, they can't really expect everyone to buy the game twice, for one extra bit. if they threw in a ton of new stuff, okay. but i don't think they will. and after already spending over 100 cause i bought the collectors ed. with express ship, i do not see me spending 60 more! no matter how much i love this game!

Well... 1st of all i dont understand why Capcom didnt do a full version with this scenario earlier. Yeah theyll make good money on it next year ... but still... I see nothing new in AE only a possibility to play as Jill (IMAO).

BUT it would be better if they made an alternative RE5 with normal Wesker (like were seeing in RE1-4) i would be very happy=)))))))) *only a dream ^^

motion scensers suck.i guess they culdnt have made a wii version.this wuld be a complete load of crap if they dont put new costumes on here.they are probly only going to put the pc xtra costumes on here.u make a good point.we need more info on dis game
