Mike Herrera is always good, something about his voice that captivates you. what people don't understand is that after you play punk for nearly 20yrs you actually wanna try sounds and music that are different that can better captivate who you are now. so yeah there not punk anymore, but I'm a true fan that has always loved MXPX and I'm not gunna give up on them. plus green day v.s MXPX theres no comparison, Mike is a much more better song writter than billy jean. REAL TALK.

This is emo, not new schoo MCR and fall out boy 'emo' but old school emocore, like NUFAN, Millencolin and the Descendants. Emocore has been around a lot longer than most people realise because they think of new school 'emo' as the only kind of emo, in actual fact emocore is punk or pop punk music with emo lyrics, and the new school stuff is not actualy emo at all
