  • Blotto played my college in 1983. Yeah I'm old. But it was the 80's These guys were fun. Not everyone can be REM.

  • 3 new members later they became Slipknot.

  • Inspiring to see there are half-musicians keeping up the grand tradition of producing music that goes from almost-funny to almost-irritating in just a few moments, and stays that way forever. Or or 25 years, whichever. Are they all retired schoolteachers now? Except for the dead one?

  • Well, I can see where Aquabats get their inspiration...

  • @Beetham Are we not men? We are DEVO!

  • been lackidaisically looking for this forever.....wish it was as cool as i remembered it.

  • I wish I was alive to witness the 80s... they seem like such fun times filled with high pants and long hair dos and lots and lots of ZINC :P

  • These guys were great. They were the answer to Frank Zappa's question...Does humor belong in music.....YES!!! (at least there should be more of it!)

  • I saw this group in 79 at the Cus from Ho in Paramus NJ!

  • 'I...........LIFEGUARD'

  • my stepdad is the one in the yellow blazer

  • this song could easily be a theme song for a sitcom. But I still love it!

  • "I'll make more moves than Allied Van Lines" is one of the best lines in pop history.

  • Early, Early MTV. When they actually played music and only had 4 commercials an hour.

  • Hi Blotto, I saw you guys at SUNY Stony Brook back in the 80's! Fun dance music...

  • One of the only good songs to come out of the Albany area... Gawd this place sux...

JK... I went through school with one of these guys... and you couldn't ask for a more fun bar band.

  • whats really sad is I sold ladies shoes when I was in college

  • This is a different take from the vinyl version (Hello My Name is Blotto, What's Your Name) isn't it? Great song!

  • Is it just me; or does this song make you want to go gaurd someone's life?

  • I saw these guys at the DC Wax Museum ages ago. What a show!

  • It takes about 30 years to realize how ridiculous styles are,.. Thank God it doesn't matter! Every generation has its memories - thanks for sharing this one

  • For years I've looked for this song and no one knew what the heck I was talking about. I remeber coming home from school and watching this when MTV played videos...

  • Blotto really gave the Albany/Troy music scene a huge boost way back when. Loved these guys

  • One of the guys is a dead-ringer for Donnie Iris. I miss these days. Life was so much easier!

  • Heck, this is a Classic. Check out "Monster" by Fred Schneider!!!!!!!!

  • Oh Blotto- I remember them so well- they were great in concert-especially Sarge's tribute to heavy metal. The first time I saw them-he bit the head off a Smurf doll- the 2nd time- a Cabbage Patch Doll!!! He Sarge- did Elmo ever have a siliar fate!!

  • wow this has it all- woman in a headband a la Olivia, 80's sunglasses, 80's owl glasses (I had a pair), stripey shirts (still wear em), mullet on the drummer, cocaine reference, bad lip synching.... love it!

  • I first heard of this song on Doctor Demento back in the summer of 1985. I ran across it again on college radio in 1987. By the way, that white stuff in zinc oxide, for those chemically inclined. It prevents sunburn!

  • @BuddyNovinski me too :)

  • You know this band was really obscure cause they don't even have any hot chicks in this video! It's just the geeks in the band! No groupies that would be in the video?

  • Sat whatever you want - this is a GREAT song. It's got everything that a song should have. Good beat, rhythm harmony, seriousness, comedy, hidden message, intro of group. YOU CAN'T DENY IT !!!

  • @unclebillmusic

    GREAT?? are you deaf?

  • @belairesquad4 If you didn't grow up in that era, you just don't get it. Cheesy pop-rock sound was king in the late 70's and early 80's.

Think Devo, The Cars, Cheap Trick, etc.

  • @belairesquad4 Unfortunatlly for you,you are the one who can't hear. And as the pharse goes,(deaf )and dumb. Since you don't know a GREAT song when you hear one,you must be dumb too.

  • My son's gunna be a Lifeguard....!!!!!!!

  • Haha this song is funny and retarded but awsome all at the same time!
