  • its interesting how the American application for 'sober' is used,in England the words used in relation to alcohol not drugs. Anyway hope you stayed off the gear. X

  • Suboxone may be a partial opiate but I'd much rather take that then heroin everyday.. People just don't know and are quick to say SUBOXONE IS A DRUG..well they're right but it also keeps people alive until they can get off of it. Think of suboxone as a cast for a broken arm, you don't wear a cast forever but for the moment it keeps you from hurting your arm anymore then it already is (just like suboxone keeps some people from relapsing over and over again)

    -Get a clue

  • I just finished suboxone after 9 wks. I'm having some withdraws from it but have allot of support from my husband and kids. I was addicted to pain pills for two years and that was the worse two years of my life! Good luck to you...

  • Almost three yrs. now, Are You off Subs ?

  • Really proud of you girl. So many people struggle with this. (I for one), and to come out and talk about it, really makes others like myself not feel alone with this. I just wanted to mention that I take Ultram (Non-narcotic pain medicine since u mentioned ur back), with the suboxone & it actually helps & doesn't coincide with the Suboxone. My problem is that I had a bunch of surgeries in my armpit when I had breast implants, & so when I take the suboxone, my arms are feel like pinched nerves.

  • Be proud of yourself... Im about to start Suboxone and scared as hell! Your very courageous.

  • @darlingmama09 Gosh darn, I pressed the wrong button on my computer & it won't change. I didn't mean to have it say thumbs down to your post. , but it won't change to thumbs up...damn....Good luck on your recovery.

  • Good luck, keep fighting and weaning off subs. There are not designed to be taken for longer then 10 days FYI. DR's will not tell you this. nonetheless it is a big choice to see a DR in regards to your addiction. Good job taking the right steps! Best of luck

  • have you used round the clock magnesium/calcium?gives back the minerals to nerves that drug took out-it relaxed so LESS CRAVINGS-hope u do well-keep on-no withdrawal cramps-b/c magnesium RELAXESmuscles-a study used magnesium/calcium-to stop suicidal compulsion IN ONE WEEK-patients felt relief-happier-is there interest among your friends for this type of nutrition project?also mag/calc will help even when using-especially cures constipation-it takes the drug poison out of the body-TRYIT

  • suboxone IS NOT an opiate!!!!! This is a "drug" that is made to block the opiate receptors in the human brain!!! Not at all an opiate! And while on suboxone if one decides to consume an opiate drug such as vicodin, there will be no "high" from the narcotic Thus leading to 90% of overdosing "ex" opiate users! Be strong and push through your addiction, once through it you will find that life is your play ground, and will really enjoy the real you! Good luck to everyone in your journey!!!

  • You say your sober.A person is not truly sober until they no longer need to depend on any chemicals.

  • Hows it going now. you doing well. my friend just went from methadone to sub. its a little rough since it only stimulates half way, but its still like 30-40 mg of methadone. It will make you feel better but don't forget its a life long battle. think about weining down and how you want to do that. Don't be like me and just keep eating it forever or you'll have to experience what i did. Although once clean the real journey begins. Which sucks big time. The desire for pills returns big time. BOL.

  • Hey everyone, I too am an opiate addict. I was using IV heroin everyday for over 4 years. I got on suboxone at first without insurance and had to pay $7 per pill for 90 pills per month plus Dr. fees, which cost a lot per month just to stay clean. I've since gotten great insurance which allows me to get all my suboxone for free and I have a lot of extra suboxone scripts left over. I am willing to help anybody out who wants to get clean but doesn't have the funds to do it. Send me a PM, pce

  • Christ this is freaky.ive watched videos on youtube about people being addicted to codeine then being prescribed methadone for the withdrawal.i dont think this would ever happen in the uk.we would probably be prescribed valium which is another horrible addictive drug.nice at first though.anyway get well soon.x

  • im going to the doctor on tuesday and ask for help im so sick of useing opiates. im so happy u got ur life back.....

  • ya now try getting off of that your just making it worse

  • Which is actually better? Suboxone or Methodone?

  • One of the things I hate when I try to stop is I start thinking that "If I quit" I will have better Orgasms... and the Orgasms turn out to be really shitty. So when I do not have an Orgasm I will go out and do more tranqs, Methadone and or Cocaine... Or whatever tickles my fancy.

  • I've been on Methadone for 8 years and I'm still using other opiates. Yeah my Mother died and thats what made me go off the deep end. I do consider myself sober for that one day, When I just take my prescribed amount of Methadone. I will "double up" very often. I have Cocaine,Sleeping pills,Tranquilizers,Morphine,Caffiene,Nicotine a whole Pleathura of drugs that I am addicted too. Talk about addict from hell?! LOL But IDK, I find it hard to stop. Whenever I try to stop,Something bad happens

  • If you're taking Suboxone you don't test positive for Opiates!

  • Baby you have GOT to stop saying UMMM!!

  • get of that shit. dont be to proud. become proud after a month off any pills. thats my advice to u.

  • Thanks to all who have shared their comments, and opinions. Weather you agree with me or not, I feel this is a good resource for people wanting more info on the journey of Suboxone. I do not think it is for everyone but it is right for me. I wanted something other than Methadone to treat my disease, so that I could continue to be a mother and a wife. I wasn't emotionally strong enough to leave my kids, to enter inpatient. I hope you will look at all my vids as information as it is intended.

  • @startingsuboxone im coming off suboxone right now, been about 5 days cold turkey. It sucks but taking pills does too. Having to make sure you always pack or dont miss an appointment or miss a drug test, i just got tired of jumping through hoops to feel normal, i quit, i wont go back and ever go through this agin.

  • @startingsuboxone pwdossey418 is right. dont lie to ur self. pharma companies make the drugs we all like and they also make this "miracle drug" too. i too seeked suboxone to help my problem. but i bought them off the streets. took the 8mg tabs for a week and a half and been off it for for days now. if i could have the choice id rather w/d from d.o.c(percs,oxy) sub w/d is hell, It might be all that great now cause u just started but this peaks. don't stay on subs too long, switch to the 2mg tabs

  • @startingsuboxone I too seeked subs to help me quit. The best way is quit from ur drug of choice. subs are not worth it. bought them off the street couldnt imagine paying for it thru a doc. took the 8mg tabs for a week and a half and w/d are hell. i know this isnt much compared to some people who r on it for year+. the key to getting ur life back is

1.Are you really ready to quit

2.go thru w/d. its bad but its not forever

3.if using subs, dont be on longer then u need to be, switch to the 2 mg

  • your still taking opiates. sorry, you got a long way to go. your not off pills. you taking suboxone!! its an opiate.. a drug. sorry to break it to you..

  • @pwdossey418 I appreciate your comment. But your opinion is not a new one. There are many that disagree with what I am doing. I know what sober means technically. But to me right or wrong I am sober. I am not high. No euphoria. I am taking a drug to treat my disease. Just as a diabetic would take insulin. Addiction IS a disease, will I need this forever, No. But right now it is the best thing I can do, to be with my family. I wasn't strong enough to leave my kids and go to detox.

  • @startingsuboxone you are sober on suboxone, opiate dependence is an uncurable disease its nothing more than a diabetic taking their insulin. keep up the good work and dont listen to these idiots who say 12 step is the only way and that you are not clean. those 12 step nuts get their info from some 55 year old addicts who think they know everything. remember 12 step is not a professional program your doctor is.

  • @jimsutube123 It is difficult to say that opiate addiction is incurable. I think the addiction is just a manifestation of an underlying personality defect. The addiction can go away if the underlying personality defect is treated. Addiction is a very broad classification of peoples' behaviors. I mean, we all are forced to work 10 hour days. Some like it but others don't. In that case it would be desirable to be a workaholic because then you enjoy a major segment of your life.

  • @startingsuboxone How ya doin' now girl?

  • @pwdossey418 buprenorphine is a partial opiate agnoist. let me guess you are a 12 step loser who thinks they know the only way to recovery. asshole. and less than 10% of people can get clean from opiates without relplacement therapy so what would u do go in a room with a bunch of religious 12 step douch bags and talk to your inner power.

  • @jimsutube123 If you are not a workaholic, then you will hate 50 hours of every week of your life. But in this situation, you would be considered healthy from a medical perspective because you don't exhibit the behaviors of an addict which would put you outside the scope of having a disease. Addictions can be healthy in a sense. Without some internal drive focused compulsively at one activity, our lives would be all over the place and less productive.

  • @pwdossey418 you are a dick....people need positive words...go hang yourself

  • @pwdossey418 Did you search for a suboxone video just to say this comment? Did that make you feel better?

  • do you still think suboxone is a good way to quit just curious?

  • @gyselboy I was taking 30 to 40 vicodin a day, more or less, depending on the mgs. After I went through detox, I was put on suboxone, and I feel a lot better. Instead of 40 pills a day, I take one pill, and I feel fine. If you are ever in a position where you run out of suboxone, the withdrawals aren't NEARLY as bad as opiates. It is going to be tough to ween down/off just like anything else, but the good thing is, it's much easier IMO than trying to ween off opiates or quit cold turkey.

  • @gyselboy Yes I am a huge believer in this medication, is it perfect, hell no, is it the best choice for maintenance treatment, I beleive yes absoultly. I cant spell for shiz!!lol. If I could go back I would do it again. I am getting close to the jumping off point, I will proly be off by late winter. I am scared but confident in my choice.

  • Hey I was wondering if you've gotten off of the suboxone? I'm sorry to say, but if you're on it, you're far from sober. Ive tried to get off of it in the past and noticed that the withdrawls were worse than detox off of other opiates like methadone and oxys.

  • Does anyone else have this problem: I get nauseous after being on SubOx for a few days. Then I have to go back on OxyC. This has happened 3 times now. I took small doses of SubOx each time and took it properly. Help. Thanks.

  • don't take Metadone!!! are slave for over 15 years now I came to 20 mg. but with the help of Oxycontin 20 mg (one cpr. ) for the pain too strong.

the Wolf in the mouth (We say in Italy) =good lucky

  • god bless u

  • good for you i'm very happy for and you're family

  • Ok, if your on Suboxone, YOU ARE NOT SOBER! Wake up people Suboxone is an opiate! Its a schedule 3 drug. You will have problems getting off it. I could not get off of .5mg. I wanted off it so bad. I couldnt stop. Ibogaine is the true healer.

  • YOU GIVE ME HOPE

    THANKS

  • I'm hooked on vicodin and dihydrocodeine I am quitting cold though

  • sry im on methadone at some point you will have to get off it, im on 70mg methadone and I feel like a ghost of my old self. when you choose to get off it you will have withdraw maybe even worse then what you where on before. what are you doing, legally prescribes? injecting/snorting/popping ect.

  • @crookshanks576 I am legally prescribed. And I am on a better plan to get off. I just went through a really hard time with my husband we have had an easy 9 years and just went through a trying time. This could have been earth shattering for me but I am staying strong for my marriage, and he told me that me continuing the Suboxone like I am is really hard for him, so I told him I want to put more effort into my sobreity.

  • shut up

  • @sonadork Just get off my page, asshead then u won't have to hear me..........

  • How are you doing now = )

  • your sexy.

  • Pschcologist consider it sober. I am taking my Medication, as prescribed and I don;t have a problem with it. Suboxone is a synthetic opiate however I am not abusing it. Sobreity is a behavior more than anything I am not getting high, but think what you want I guess It doesn't effect me one way or another. DAR DEE DAR yourself.

  • @startingsuboxone Im starting this after 10 years of percocet being prescribed for surgery and dental work, the only thing Im afraid of is the fact that I have an abcess tooth! They told me I have to start treatment w/ suboxone right away, and I said I wanted to get my tooth pulled out 1st, of course they think this an excuse not to quit DUH, I went to THEM on my own for the treatment ! I wasnt forced by a judge or something, do u think I will be able to cope with the dental pain w/ sub. alone?

  • Sorry to tell you but being on Suboxone is not being completely sober. Although the first step is to get on suboxone and cut getting "high" out of your life. I say "high" because i was on Suboxone for like three years and it made me still slightly high and not myself. Suboxone is good if u have little self control and stay on it forever to stay out of trouble. But to really be your old self you need to quit everything trust me, sub withdrawals suck bad. So use the subs to train

  • your brain to not get high for about six months to a year. And then get on a schedule of a short half life opiate like vicodin for about a month or two and only take about two a day then one. The short half life of the vicodin will help you get through physical withdrawal much faster. And if youve been using the suboxone right u shouldnt really want to get that high. But trust me suboxone is just a crutch and if you think you are strong enough come off of it, you will feel much better eventually

  • @startingsuboxone I am currently going through a blind detox off of methadone. I have been in methadone maintenance therapy for a little over a year and a half. It was worked wonders for my health and for my life. I still have situations where I want to use but I have learned coping skills, something most addicts need to learn. I got pregnant a year ago and had my daughter this past March and she was perfectly healthy, no withdrawals or anything. I <3 sobriety.

  • your replacin one opiate for another how do you call that sober?let me know wen you stop takin everything and then il believe your sober.......SUBOXONE IS AN OPIATE DAR DEEEE DAR YOUARE NOT SOBER

  • Fuck you danhat69! Suboxone is very important stuff.

  • how are u sober if yr still taking a very strong long lasting opiate? The Nile is not only a river in Africa! (Denial).

  • If anyone on here who needs help and is looking for a suboxone script send me a message. I get prescribed 120 8mg pills per month and have 2 extra scripts right now I could send out to you for way cheaper than any sub doctor you can find.. Message me if interested and for the details, Peace.

  • been there, done this. It will turn on you

  • I have been in a methadone maintenance program for over a year and am going to start detoxing in March. I am mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically ready to do so. I give kudos to anyone who is serious about their recovery and taking the right steps to get healthy again. It is a difficult road but nothing is more difficult than being a drug addict. Good luck on your sobriety. Attend groups. Go to weekly counseling. Recognize your triggers. If you follow your program, it all works out

  • I was not talking down on you. I recently got over a two year addiction to oxy. I went cold turkey, hard as shit. so I do know what I am talking about. all I am saying is that you will become dependent on other pills, this is no good.

  • Congratulations girl! You are an inspiration. I am dreading my holiday coming up Tuesday (its Friday now) cause I will be going cold turkey the same route as you. I was on that, xanax and drinking way too much and this year its 9 days into it (approx?) and I have a sore back, as you said, but haven't been indulging with xanax or alcohol. I am proud of myself but dreading a month in Indonesia without even the possibility, though dreading in a good way, if you can understand. Anyway hope ur still.

  • hey ur sexy for one. and 2 i have been on suboxone before for about 3 months it didnt work for me tho. it would have but my life is fucked. i go to the methadone clinic which has helped me out in the same way that some feel about suboxone. but i know it is the answer for some. and methadone maintenance is what worked for me. i was addicted to oxy, roxis, morphine, heroin, etc etc. and methadone works for me.. im still an addict tho..

  • Well thanx!! I wish tho that quitting drugs came without the weight gain!!! Not feeling as hot as I used to!!.. I have gotten alot of comments from others on here that I am still using opiates b/c Subs are technically an Opiate, but I feel that my mindset, and my life represent what I am, and I am not a junkie anymore, or a con artist, or any of the things I used to be, so I feel that if Subs, or in ur case dones work than so be it. If you are honest with urself than you are free!

  • Lmao lol.

  • tru well i think ur hott as fuck and wish u lived in tampa so i could try to holla at you. but besides that yeah fuck what anyone says if sub maintenance works for you then so fuckin be it. i know many people it works great for. both subs and methadone maintenance are great for gettin ur life back together. i feel like a totally different person in the last 6 weeks that i been on the clinic. u just gotta be ready thats all. much luv.

  • how are you sober if you are taking that much suboxon? why do you not get off completely. it will be better this way. i would not take this for any reason. whats the point?

  • @wasted97 dude dont comment if you dont know what your talking about

  • I can't belive all the people that just share way to much information. It might behoove you all to contact NA/AA and see if they can set up a secure network, but do yourself a favor and stop sharing this stuff with the word!

  • never,ever ,ever, ever, takesuboxone

with methadone,in your system, even 10 mg, even if you last take methadone on MONDAY<and startsuboxone on wed, the re are little bits of methadone in your system;and if you take a suboxone;IT WILL PUT U INTO WITHDRAWALS< IT IS UGLY!,

  • they can be good, that is if you dont let them run your life

  • so how is it going for you now? Im a methadone patient of 4yrs n im tired of going 3 days a wk it feels as if im going to a job and not gettin paid lol...i am wondering about switchin but my insurance i dont think covers it just my methadone which i dont get i thought sub was like better? I have a few vids about methadone but ya let us know whats going on k bye!

  • Wish I would be as lucky as U. I'm on 180 a day for about the last 12 years. Started at 35! I think of suicide every day(depression)What do I do, where do I go?--Did everything your about to say. How do I get help? How do I post my own comments? Thanks, Kenny

  • Hang in there. I like reading all the support comments. Good stuff. I was using them everyday since July of 2008. I was addicted to any Opiate I could get a hold of. I never used Heroin though. Just Morphine, Methadone, Oxycontin, Percocets etc. I've weened myself down the past Month and a half and so far everythings going good. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!! I have some of my Opiate videos on my channel if anyones interested.

  • good 4 u

  • theres a celing effect at 32mgs

  • During hurricane katrina i coldturkeyed 200mg of methadone and 8 mg of xanax,i came very close to death

  • your a lucky person I was on methadone over 20 years and 30 mgs of xanax, The xanax was cold turkey the meth was 1 mg a day from 70 mgs plus all the extra i bought. After the xanax cold turkey my clinic called an ambulance and me admitted to a hospital. How you kicked is a miracle

  • I don't want to give you any medical advice just opinion. I have been told by my Doctor that alcahol w/d's can kill you, but opiate w/d's you just wish it would kill you. However if she has underlying medical or mental issues, stopping with out help from anything could be dangerous. Does she not want to try Subs?? Or can she not afford them, tell her that is she can afford the pills she can afford the Suboxone. Good luck to her and you both. Hope it works out.

  • my mom has been on pain killers for 7 years and i am begging her to stop she wants to but is scared of the withdraws but i like to know is can you die if you stop with out the help of any other meds or treatment or seeing a doctor just cold turkey cause im scared to lose her to this crap that takes over ppl lives i wish everyone the best of luck of getting off these things

  • Quitting painkillers cold turkey has never killed anyone. It is a myth. I quit methadone cold turkey on my own & was sick for 5 weeks straight. Your mom won't die from withdrawals, but she could die if she continues taking painkillers.

  • You man/sir got some balls..That methadone dt is torture/mentally physically...And your not lying 5 weeks and i bet you just felt o.k even then huh.

  • Well, I'm actually a female. Yes, cold turkey off of methadone is pure hell.

  • First off going to a professional is the way to go, but if she won't go try to get support try to take control of the medication intake. then what ever she is taking decrease the dosage very slowly. take it down very little every few weeks. Don't stop cold turkey not the way to go. Tons of treatment programs or look up local doctors in your area and get her on suboxone. best of luck really hope everything is okay. if you have any questions i will answer them the best i can.

  • wow there is some amazing comments on here. great supporters. i was going to try suboxone but my doctor said i didnt qualify for it. he said i have way to much pain from my bone disease to stop pain meds. but it is so easy to abuse them and run out early. and detoxing every damn month is a lot of stress on the body . to go from 4 60 mgms of oxy a day and about 10 10mgms of lortab a day to nothing. talk about a sick son of a bitch. you really do alot of talking to god then?? i do. now im on patc

  • i was on Sub for over a year while alternating with oxy. I just couldnt stand the withdrawals from either, so eventually did detoxification under anesthesia at the waismann method in LA.. if its an option, i recommend it..ive heard some success with weening, but didnt do it for me.if anyone reading this is new to opiate dependency or still on low doses-STOP NOW while its not yet a fully realised hell!!

  • Dudes, I just got off sub. I never took more than 6mg in a day. I started weening and got down to litterally a tiny little sliver of a 2mg. Four days of prob .3mg and then stopped. First day was ok. 2nd, 3rd, 4th days were hell! No sleep, diarrhea galore, twitchy, irratated, runny nose and eyes, ect. It sucked. Not trying to scare anyone, but know that its not gonna b easy. Today is day 9 off the sub and I feel like a new man! You can do it!! Its a battle, just know that YOU CAN WIN IT!

  • If you have not started methadone DONT.There are better alternatives. That stuff almost killed me when i got off cold turkey of 200 mg.That was insane.good god if u only knew

  • your feeling pain now because opiate addicts feel pain that is minute that non addicts wouldnt feel it sucks i know been on subs and methadone subs you can take 8mg and no w/d for 4 days but the withdrawl is a motherfucker trust me!

  • Dont be on Suboxone for over 90 days. The detox will last 10 solid days. I was on 8MG/day. If you feel good; Just start lowering your dose. I am happy I did cold turkey now (because its over) but it was horrible200% more difficult vis-à-vis coming off Perc/Oxy at 100MG/day. 36 hour half life of Suboxone I am guessing. at the end of the day what helped me is understand that the withdrawal is a chemical/physical problem, and the body/brain heals itself second by second.

  • I was on suboxone for a lil over a yr, and for the past 2 months i weened myself off and i'm now on day 3 without any suboxone and i feel like shit. How long is it gonna last. No sleep, can't stop my body from shaking, cold all the time. And ever minute feels like an eternity.

  • Good for you hun, stay clean, its definately worth it. And i tottaly agree with u that its better to be on a lil bit of suboxone than to relapse back to oxy's. Its just tough for me cause i was on subs for so long. Even though i weened myself down its still really tough. I'm on day 5 or 6 without anything at all, and i feel a lil better, not much. Still cant sleep very good at all, but hopefully another week and i'll turn the corner. Hope youre still doing good!

  • you're getting there. It took me about 7 days to start to feel good and actually get some sleep. today is day 9 for me without any sub and its a world of difference from just 4 dayz ago. Everyday should get a lil bit better. Just push on. Make it a battle and know the YOU CAN WIN IT!!!!

  • i coldturkeyed 200mg of methadone during hurricane katrina so i know how u feel,its hell.I almost died,literally

  • wow, for how long were u w/ding? are you totally off it since then

  • @jakeryan37 if i was in hurricane katrina my absolute first stop would have been to raid a drug store!

  • @jakeryan37 i always wonderd what happend to people in that sitiation what did you do i'm really curious

  • No (two) people are alike. It comes down to how bad you want

it! Has anyone reading this ever quit Cigs? The medication

Zyban helped me and and that was a living hell getting off of cigs. Just take it day to day and eventually you will be free.

  • I love how no one ever brings up the vomiting n shitting your brains out, along with not being able to really eat...oh yeah I forgot the extreme body pain too...mmmm withdrawls are great..FML

  • how did u get the subs, i can't seem to find a clinic or doctor that doesnt have a 600$ co fee

  • Trading one for another is not the way to go....you'll see when you try to come off the Sub LOL.

Tuff it out and suffer for 4-5 days and come off all that junk once and for all. Set your demons free...

  • You obviously dont know what your talking about or have been misinformed...

  • goodjob im a suboxene taker too saving myself from the opiates that ruined my life.

  • I'm glad you are feeling better but how long do you plan on staying on it?

  • Comment removed

  • Try the subs I was on dones too. It is a bit of a shock to the system it takes about two weeks for the "magic to start in". Methadone users are harder to get going on this stuff for some reason. It sticks in ur system longer and the MDone w/d are worse than herion withdrawl.

  • hey girl hang in there im weening off of methadone oxycotin, it is hell but it will get better i promise, gut it out ween off, it will be worth it, if u need to talk hit me up

  • it took you ten years to realise that? shit just get some balls and get off of the stuff...

  • still feelin nice...rite on...

  • Thanks

  • be careful with subs. I am day 9 off them and still puking and crapping aching all around feeling bad so the sooner you get off the better. Its just a band aid try the steps relapse may occur butt it works if you live it!! :)

  • It took me a minute to feel normal it wasn't instant for me either, in fact the first dose of subs sent me into precipitated withdrawls, omg i was never as dope sic as that day. It gets better everyday. I am doing my treatment slowly, if I would have tapered fast, I would be using again by now. It may take me a yr or two but I'll get there. I have tapered 2mg. Small progress but good enough so far.

  • Hey(Diablo) hang in there, it took me about 30+ days to wean off of Suboxone.(torture)...It's not the miracle drug everyone on here claims. It's def, less toxic than Methadone and not illegal but You'll see NONE of these people have tried getting off of long term sub use yet. They'll get tired of it just like other drugs and they'll realize they are in a HELL of a bind.

  • Wow u look an sound so much better from ur first video! keep it up i used subutex to come off methadone too, its amazing, try an get off it soon tho its real hard if u stay on it for a while, i did an 8 day detox with it and suffered very little apart from sleep deprivation, which is amazing after 13 yrs abuse!

  • I'm glad the switch is working for you.Subox is definitely less toxic for your body than methadone.Good luck for sure. I think you can live a more stable life on subs. Watch out for feeling grumpy.Like most opiate based medications it makes one constipated.MSM and Sam-e can help with that and depression.

  • I've been on Suboxone for 5 years and I don't consider myself clean.

Yes Suboxone is better than illegal drugs (to a point) after awhile you'll realize your switching one drug for another. I personally feel like a ghost in my own life since I've been on SUBs. Suboxone is just a better version of Methadone.

I've tried to quit Subs and it's seriously rough and SLOW!

I hate to pop your bubble but no one is "clean" if they're on Suboxone:that's just a crock of shit.Don't believe me? try quitting

  • I do pretty much agree with you but I guess I feel like I am doing better then I was. The only thing I disagree with is that subs in my book arent even close to better than methadone. Methadone WAS my drug of choice and I don't get anywhere as high as I was on dones. I guess I feel like from a medical stand point I am clean to a certian extent. I may have to treat my addiction for a long time, and at least there is not a significant tolerance so far w/ the subs.

  • u are 100% correct

  • @finley40 if you try and "quit" paxil or prozac you go into withdrawl so does that mean everyone on those meds in not clean either because if thats what you are saying 20% of americans arent clean.

  • Ah... it's 'GIVES' not gave marbinx.

Ya know what pisses me off, Suboxone has been used in Europe for the last 30 years. US of A didn't allow it till 2002. Ya know how many people died from opiate addiction in the US because of that. I had a close friend of mine croke from it. He was a nurse and got caught stealing drugs at his work so he OD'd himself cause he couldn't deal. Thank's a lot, Beaurocratic AH's

  • sounds like you did that right thing!!! make sure to go to NA or concealing as well, sure suboxone works well, but you still need to get the mental part of your addiction treated as well.

  • I attend a meeting every Wednesday. It is really something I look forward to, my meeting is ONLY opiate addicts so we are all in the same boat.

  • I've been on pills (Vicodin and Oxycodone)off and on for over 11 years. I started suboxone today, and I've already seen a difference. Good luck and god bless!!!

  • Hope u are still going strong!!

  • Got clean and sober because of Suboxone.....haven't done any pills since Oct 22 2007.......Love life now....hang in there you will feel like you did when u were a kid

Anybody reading this wants to get off pills...

Find a doctor who prescribes this and stay on till you can sufficiently ween.....it works!

  • I agree with u 100% couldn't have said it better. Good Luck!!

  • EVERYONE, IT IS PRONOUNCED

    "Sub Ox Own"

    3 syllables, not suboxin sibownon,

    subuxone, or whatever else.

Sorry that i am a pronunciation nazi

  • who gave a fuck how its pronounced? Dumb Fuck.

  • i hate it when i hear people say kalodapin for klonopin or klodapinlol. If u cant pronounce it correctly you shouldnt take it, if your not educated on a certain medicine it can kill you

  • Thank's for the video's! I'm starting suboxone tomorrow! Do you no why they want you off opiates 24hr before your appointment? How much are the suboxone pills?

  • good for you, keep it going. i am working on this myself and am feeling great today free of the pills. god bless you

  • watch my dad so you can get a clue as o why staying on them is a bad idea

  • Just because some people have bad experiences with a certain drug, does not mean that people all across the world should stop taking that drug. If you find one rotten apple laying under an apple tree, does that means every apple on the tree is rotten too?

  • Right on Andrea. Glad to see you're doing GREAT!

  • yeah, i used to abuse dones....my ex girlfriend got 60 10 mg a month and she split em with me...id go thru the 30 i had in about 4 days or so and the withdrawal from dones are the worst...so i feel ya...im havin problems gettin on subs where i live without insurance so i have to buy em on the street....but im tryin...or at least i feel like im tryin

  • excellent, good for you. keep spreading the word. just not about jesus :)
