Hah you got it.. I was actually thinking of taking the car to Texas to visit my friend in San Antonio ironically enough, then to visit RUF auto center in Dallas... I probably won't be able to make the ride in this car though, in full track attire since it's acquisition and absolutely terrible on the street :/ But If I decide to, and to hit the Texas Mile, I will send you a message... You can take it for a rip down the standing mile :)

Ruf mods the motor, suspension, various electronics and more. They can increase the performance by as much as 50%. Great tuners. Very special car at a 30% premium. I use to own RUF BTR and moved into a Bob Holcomb 930. Flat out hot cars. Very fast and well balanced.

not correct mate, RUF is a carbuilder, not a typical tuner, a RUF is not a Porsche!

Ruf buy parts from Porsche (Frame, ground-engine and so on) and build every car per hand! over 90% of a Ruf is handbuild from Ruf with parts from Ruf.

Own parts or modificated Porsche parts.

You can tuning your Porsche by Ruf too, but thats a tuned Porsche and not a real Ruf ;)

Its a bit different here in Germany.

Clarification. RUF was founded in the 1930's. RUF Vin's did not appear till 1982 when they received status as a 'builder'. My 1980 930 (and all previous) in spite of being fully built from chassis by Auto RUF remain being Porsche in every way - just faster. 486lbs torque rear wheels. RUF parts? Just clutch sleeve and intercooler. They were tuners when they built my car. Yes I agree with them now being 'builders'. They received license in 1982 when officially building first RUF BTR. Coments?

The one option that finally comes on 997 GT2's is a mechanism to lift the nose. Technology advancing, you know.

its a 996 GT2 so i believe power is about 450bhp the 997 GT2 is 530bhp... sweeeeeeeet

my friend this is where you are wrong. This is a RUF RGT(2) it's not 450bhp, this car varied from 520-590 hp options from ruf. yes the new one is a god. (hehehe i got to ride in one, 60-90 in 1.5seconds. hehehe.)

Yes it is indeed a real "RUF" .. As I sent you in the message through youtube, it was bought from RUF Auto Center in Dallas Texas only authorized builder/dealer and they leave the front's stock on the GT2's, on the R-Turbo's they use theirs!
