In G1, Starscream was a whiny weakling who proclaimed himself as new leader as soon as Megatron as much as blinked. In animated he is much more sly about the whole taking over part and I like that as it makes him an interesting rogue faction. I still like the armada Starscream the best though and the journey he makes where he goes from being sort of a mini-megatron to sacrificing himself for the greater good. Yes it might be a different character but i happen to LIKE emo-bots and vegeta clones.

animated series starscream's voice sucked. he's voiced by the guy who did spongebob and he sounds just like spongebob. he doesnt sound like starscream should. this is just spongebob with a robotic voice filter

Honestly, my favoritething about Starscream in Animated is the whole "Immortal" thing they did with him. Had it been with almost any character, it would have gotten old, but with Starscream, he's more of a living punching bag.

Personally, I thought the cowardice was played down a bit in Animated.

G1 Starscream would never fight against multiple Autobots by himself, especially ones the size of OP or Bulkhead.

I was somewhat surprised to see Tom Kenny put on the roll well, but for a voice actor as great and versatile as him, I probably shouldn't be. Starscream's voice is like a combination of the G1 and Unicron Trilogy voice actors.

I heard that Starscream's alternate mode resembled a YF-19 Excalibur from Macross Plus.

One thing I must say is that I'm willing to give movie Starscream a chance. We didn't see enough of him in last summer's movie.

The way I see it, Starscream doesn't have to have a squeaky voice. He simply has to be backstabbing and cowardly. That's just my opinion.

Also i found the Cybertron Starscream have the same quality as G1 Starscream Treacherous,Backstabbing, Egotistical Decepticon except for the voiced.Cybertron Starscream is the 3rd best Starscream.

Cybetron Starsrcream is the best Starscream out of the trilogy but, Animated starscream is a bit better. But G1 Starscream will always best the best Starscream.

BWII Starscream is actually quite like G1 Starscream minus his whiny voice and later becomes Hellscream through an Anglomois upgrade. In Armada he's a Dinobot wannabe, in Energon he's a suckup, and In Cybertron he IS a Vegeta clone. In the movie he looks like some kind of weird Bionicle but could be an interesting character nonetheless. Just to let you know his alt. mode in Animated is based off the YF-19 from Macross Plus. Dark Falcon X could tell you more about it.
