@royal28101664 They're quite unique actually. Not every individual moment in a song has to be different than everything that came before it.

Genesis is unique because they merged folk and medieval melodies with the hard rock started by those you mentioned. They also told comprehensive stories in their tracks with odd storylines, something not even commonly done today.

For me, they were the only prog rock group that could convey emotion and feeling.
