  • "I got tired of listening to the media..." read: I found an easier way to exploit dumb people for cash. See the colbert report's parody of this guy if you're interested in reality. Frank Luntz is ANYTHING but a voice for the people. He's a self admitted communications manipulator. He lies and twists words FOR A LIVING. Karl Rove light (or heavy, depending on how you see it).

  • This interview was a waste of time he said totally nothing. If you didnt know all the crap he was spewing already youir a moron.

  • Tell that religion shit to all the people that pray everyday in the middle east and die in never ending holy wars. Religion has really enhanced their lives.

  • Deos anyone REALLY want your political policy sold to you in the same way corporations sell you a Coke?

He just figures out what YOU want to hear - then he tells you Republican policy will get it for you.

That's how you call dismantleing huge, failing corporations - "Permanent Bailouts" You guys really fall for this. It's horrific.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

You dismantle failing corporations by letting them FAIL. You dont dismantle them by giving them money which allows them to avoid BANKRUPTCY courts.

  • @cameltoejoe69

Good thing no one listened to you in 2008. ONE failure (Lehman) led to the fall of the stock market. You were hoping for 800 failures? Great plan.

Actually this legislation sets up that bankrupcy court, just funded by Corps, not the public. Did you miss that part?

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

There was no NEED for it federal bankruptcy courts are ALREADY competent in handling these issues without additional funding. and yes I would have let all the companies fail. it would have sucked in the short term, but in the BIG picture of things they were less than 1% of the ENTIRE economy. Let those who poorly managed the companies fail, and let those who ran their companies well rise up to replace them.

  • @cameltoejoe69 The "job" done for Lehman by those countrs was NOT competent. The differentce here is the second phase in the new regulations would, "make resolution a very painful process". The financial sector is 20% of overall GDP. You're asking all pentioners to loose 1/2 TPW, as it was we all lost 25%. You would have liked it better if we lost 50%, and gave the thiefs no rules to play by?

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

So you think it's valuable to the economy if Corps get so big that their failure will cause massive financial loss across the world markets? We should have no power - we should give them all no rules (free-market) - if it makes money - it flies, if it doesn't, it fails? Frank Luntz is a major player in getting Americans to support their own rape by Corporations and call it patriotic, you have him to thank for this inane veiwpoint.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

No actually I would like for those bastards at the SEC to DO THEIR JOB instead of looking at porn all day. If they did then maybe this wouldnt have happened. I also want EQUAL justice. Those who committed fraud, no matter how rich, should be going to jail, and ANY member of congress tied into the scheme should be in jail as well. We HAVE a structure there. It just wasn't enforced. So how is MORE regulation going to help? Its just more laws they'll neglect to enforce.

  • @cameltoejoe69

You think the Corps NEED rules? Turn in Your Conservative Membership card. Was it the police (SEC) that were guilty, or the thieves who set the whole thing up to fall so they could just get that much richer at the expense of the entire world? Police who did not do their job are LESS guilty than the perps. Connies (Conservs) want to make sure those perps have zero rules.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

No you're NOT getting me. We already HAVE laws dealing with this. what we DONT have is people enforcing those laws. Do I want those who broke those laws to get rich quickly to pay for their crimes? HELL YES! The problem is that many of the companies that were rescued ARE IN BED with the government, and therefore indirectly, with the regulators! Look at how many Goldman Sachs employees are now a part of Obama's administration.

  • @cameltoejoe69 Derivatives are not regulated. That's 600 trillion. A Congressional report completed by 4 Repubs, 4 Dems, 4 Indies, completed in 1/09... found we NEEDED further regulation (google it). The same Repubs who worked on the report voted no on the legislation.

A free-standing Consumer Protection Agency is fought hard by Repubs. That is ANOTHER watchdog to enforce regs.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

Ontop of that, FDR's supposed "new deal" was designed to prevent THIS kind of thing from occurring again! And it didnt work! What makes you think that Obama's "new deal" WILL work?!

You obviously dont get what I'm saying. Im saying we HAVE a structure to deal with failing companies (bankruptcy court) and we have a CRIMINAL code to deal with fraudulent companies. LETS USE them instead of overregulating.

  • @cameltoejoe69 ALL of the Regulation put in place after the '30's was removed. You know that. If you think the stimulus had zero effect, you don't work in financial industries. So, yes, this "new deal" already WORKED. It's just that the HATE machine (including Luntz) RUNS the media. The same Corporate Power Grid that owns the MISinformation Machine, BENEFITS from the MISinformation machine. They have it turned up to "Nulclear Turbo", you are an obvious victim.

  • @cameltoejoe69

Back to the video - is dismanteling a company with private funds a "permanant bailout"?

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

Allow me to answer that question by asking another. If it was TRUELY about dismantelling companies that are "too big to fail," why not use the same process we use for ANY OTHER person/company out there (i.e. bankruptcy court!). As im SURE you are aware since you're a liberal "elite" with endless knowledge, you would know that businesses can reorganize/restructure under Chapter 13 of the bankruptcy code.

  • @cameltoejoe69 Did you study the Lehman bankrupcy? There were huge flaws in using a system created for entities under 2 Billion in assetts. It's like using your hair scissors to trim your lawn. You will get it done, but it's not the brighest route. Study that Lehman Bnkrpcy.

Again, you are taking the side of those who call the unwinding of a comapny a permanant bailout just to stop reform. Who does that benefit? Corps or citizens?

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

No Im asking a common sense question. And no I havent studied the Lehman bankruptcy, but i DO know that when Obama got into office the bankruptcy courts and priority of creditors was TURNED ON ITS HEAD. So maybe THAT had something to do with it not working well. And even if it is flawed, thats how you have equal justice. You have everyone subject to the SAME rules regardless of status.

  • @cameltoejoe69 How can you have an opinion on mega bankrupcy of you didn't study Lehman?? So, you support the idea of cutting your lawn with the haircutting scissors. You KNEW no new bankrupcy legislation was needed even though you never studied it. How do you KNOW Obama screwed up the B. courts?

AGAIN - this video is about a slick pepsi salesman who sells you your public policy just like your pepsi. You defend him. Did you study?

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

I KNOW that we dont need new bankruptcy laws because I STUDIED bankruptcy law/secured transactiongs. One of the ways that bankruptcy courts CAN get screwed up is if somebody does something like, idk, SCREWING UP THE ORDER OF PRIORITY! Which OBAMA HAS done. Thats how the Unions own 60 some odd % of chrystler, even though their claim was based on their pension plan, which was unsecured debt. Yet somehow, THEY got paid first ahead of the first priority creditor.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

The funny thing about bankruptcy is that it DOESNT MATTER the size of the business. It works roughly the same way for mom/pop shops as it does for multi-million dollar corporations (assuming they file under the same chapters of course). THATS HOW YOU GET EQUAL Justice. Once you start creating new bankruptcy rules you start having SPECIALIZED justice.

  • @cameltoejoe69 You say this after you admit you have never studied the Lehman Bros bankrupcy. Typical Conservative, regurgitating without researching!

I bet you heard some talkshow on the subject. Just remember - if a Conservative said it 1. It will benefit the 20% who own 92% of America and Corporations 2. It will penalize the middle class 3. It is a fabrication.

Study Lehman, then formulate YOUR OPNION!

  • @cameltoejoe69

So, you postulate the bankrupcy of a citizen worth 30,000 is the same as the bankrupcy of a Corp worth 587.6 Billion?

  • @HopeForPeaceNow "I mean, its not like Timmothy Geithner, Hank Paulson, or 1/2 the Obama administration didnt have jobs at Goldman Sachs"

Is this a new myth about how Obama caused the meltdown? Please - details? Where did you hear that?

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

No its not. Its a suggestion that Lehman's bankruptcy went the way it did because people in the Obama administration had a lot to gain from Lehman's bankruptcy. And you can look for yourself on the resume's of Geithner, Paulson, and many of the people who are surrounding Obama. They ALL have ties to Goldman Sachs. And Goldman Sachs also contributed nearly $1 million to his campaign.

  • @cameltoejoe69

Paulson was hired by Bush. But, the ties between all of our politicians and Corps must be severed. That is plain. That is the first reform we MUST enact. Limit all campaign contributions to privte funds and cap at 2K. Done. Easy. Conservatives object. Especially to opposing the SCOTUS corp finance ruling!

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

Its not the same, because there is different assets and creditors and such, but the PROCESS should be the same. Otherwise, there is unequal justice.

  • @cameltoejoe69

Where do you see a difference in the PROCESS?

My point is it is 100% lie to state this creates permanant bailouts as defined by current popluar culture. How is DISMANTALING a BAILOUT? In no way resembles recent bailouts.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

BTW dont you think its odd that Lehman brother's was allowed to go under, but Goldman Sachs was rescued? I mean, its not like Timmothy Geithner, Hank Paulson, or 1/2 the Obama administration didnt have jobs at Goldman Sachs before he was inaugurated....and its not like Goldman Sachs was a DIRECT COMPETITOR of Lehman brothers or anything. keep telling urself the govt wasnt picking winners.

  • @cameltoejoe69

Could you do me a favor? Watch "InsideThe Meltdown" on Frontline. Just stick that in your search. It's 90 mins. It will answer your "why" questions.

THEN STUDY outside Conservative opinion shows - the AP, maybe?

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

I went to school at a LIBERAL school. Trust me, I HAVE studied outside of my conservative comfort zone. And I dont trust frontline. Not after my consumer transactions teacher made us watch this god-aweful frontline special on credit and they NOT ONCE mentioned the Community Reinvestment Act and how it was abused to force banks to make risky loans to achieve the goal of home onwership at all costs.

  • @camel69 Figures. You don't find the Connie mythology you love in media, you call it worthless. Frontline actually has THE highest journalistic intrgrity. CRA - yea - myth 1,467. "Community Reinvestment Act had nothing to do with subprime crisis" Bloomberg Business week. What did CRA even have to do with "credit"? You call facts lies and lies facts. You Connies are profoundly dangerous to this country.

  • I sent you 3 links, ALL non-partisan:Bloomberg, New America Foundation and a Harvard study showing that the CRA SHITe IS A MYTH! One of about 1,500 myths created by Conservatives to cover up the REAL SITUATION! Sucker! I;m so sick of this crao screwing up my country and my family!

  • You liberal piece of shit, you are a retard! Obummer is turning my nation into a Marxist tyranny and threaten's all who love life and liberty. Bloomberg, New Foundation and Harvard are all dominated by Marxists and support the evil regime of Marxist, satanist and jihadist, Barrack Insane Obama! Evil, degenerate, stupid insane loser's like you support a monster who loves. death. slavery and mass murder and who hates. individual liberty. life and TRUTH and He who is the Truth!

  • wconeal1:

Thank you for that perfect piece of Conservative Propganda strait from Insanity/Wreck/Limpbrain/O'Really .

Bet you could't debate one Actaul Truth. Bring it.

  • wconeal:

"You liberal piece of shit, you are a retard! " Then you reference God? " TRUTH and He who is the Truth! "

Cute. "Always have a good answer for everyone who asks" Jesus.

    Look at your answer.

  • @wconeal1

Yours is a perfect answer to illustrate the mindset of Savage listeners.

Thanks for reminding the rest of us out here what he preaches.

  • @wconeal1 Name ONE satanist involved with those organizations.

  • The truth About Our Hopes,Dreams And fears Mmm I see

  • I am embarassed by the comments I have read here. Frank Luntz is an honest man trying hard to find the truth about what the people really want . He doesn't ask "leading" questions..he is direct and explains his position.. Who can fine fault with that. We should be paying close attention to what he has to teach us.

  • Is this about Health Care or something like that???

  • This is not a right left issue this is the new world order in control of both. Notice the same repubs that voted for the bailout are now so against stimulus cant you people get it the repubs are just as bad and not rinos the republican party of old is dead the nation has been hijacked by the foreign bankers get in the game.

  • sounds like a good book.

  • Obama = Epic FAIL! All he does is spend each speech: Lying By OMMISION!.....and what makes it all worse?....he cannot MAN UP....and vote for DOUBLE for what those Generals have been asking him for MONTHS!...........the PrezCzar only voted "present" when he was lurking around the ~~Senate! So we think hes gonna be able to make ANY real difficult decisions NOW?..........who voted in this ~~shape-shifter?........well the rest of us are being destroyed by this Liberal Loony grifters & liars!=thanks

  • efectomariposa93 i'm very conservative and i think Bush was a RINO definitely not a conservative! and most cons i know think Bush did an awful job...so your comment is moot

oh and Illumirage Glenn Beck does say he's a libertarian...i love Glenn Beck but he does say that

  • Fantastic interview! thanks

  • Great interview. Thank you.

  • very interesting to see the contra view on this issue, childish abuse at best

  • people are feeling ineffective and helpless against a government that they have little access to, and one that ignores their needs in favor of corporate interest.

  • Geat interview, Micheal! I feel exactly as Mr. Luntz says each and everyday! WAKE UP REAL AMERICANS AND RETAKE OUR COUNTRY! STOP PAYING YOUR INCOME TAXES AND CAR REGISTRATION FEES AND YOUR GOVERNMENT WILL GET THE MESSAGE -- WE"RE FED UP!

  • Frank is a piece of #@$#. He completely disregarded Ron Paul in the debates and set the republican party up with McCain!!!

  • jasman, concur!!!

  • @Jasman2444

Thats not JUST Frank's fault, there was a LOT of "moderates" who were pounding on Paul scaring the independents off because some of his ideas scare the middle. I liked Paul, but I didnt vote in the primary, so I was stuck with voting for McCain during the election.

  • The campaign against organized religion has been going on for hundreds of years. it's been rotting away at the core and only now are we starting to see that there's almost nothing left under the skin.

  • Your the tool homeboy, your a liberal, statist tool

  • lol stun. Look at who I support on my profile before you decide to troll. kthnx

  • What the fuck do you call hundreds of thousands of old grannys at Tea partys,,,you idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuck you, what do want? you fucking statist!

  • What? Dude, I mean, you're just wrong for saying that on so many different levels.

  • Oh... right.

And Glenn Beck is a libertarian and George W. Bush wanted limited government and no policing of the world.

Funny how philosophies change depending on which side of power you are.

  • What the fuck is that supposed to mean? George W. Bush is limited gov't times ten compared to your anointed one. And Glenn Beck, give me your proof Glenn Beck claimed to be a Libertarian. Even though, I never once mentioned his name, negating your entire point. Way to go Einstein.

Funny how you try and make an insult that really had nothing to do with my comment. .....Gaaahhhh. Wow, people. ::shakes head in disgust::

  • Oh... right..Funny how some personality types are forced into "two pile paradigms" and have an uncontrollable need to ridicule all they can put in the "other". It gets close to narcississtic, but is certainly a clinical disorder. "Which side of power"? Get past it friend, we are all in jeopardy..its not a Dem/Rep problem any more.

  • Easy now rexoid. I dont understand where you get the idea that I should be into the left-right lie?

So, if I can have a guess: Since I do not like shills like Glenn beck, who clearly is a co intel pro individual, I am automatically the Obama supporter?

I am way past that nonsense anyway, actually I have never in my life been into that, it is for stupid people.

  • cont:

Cut the insults my friend, they dont serve neither of us.

BTW, I support principled persons like Ron Paul and anyone who is not being a warmonger and speaks half-truths and have personal agendas like filling their own bank accounts.

  • The first clue was trolling vids you don't like. The insults are yours.. and what are you into? You don't like Glenn beck..Fair enough.. don't watch his vids. Seems simple to me. You are the one talking "sides of power" in an insinuation there are two. Glenn Beck has influence.. and is essentially an entertainer.. but his explorations ain't coming from MSNBC..the Immelt managed sheeple feeding network.

  • I was not trolling, I use to listen to Savage; I like a lot of the stuff I hear, not all though.

But having Frank Luntz on his show without attacking him as he use to attack his callers was to much for me to handle.

And with "sides of power" I only mean "In" or "out".

What you say when you are the opposition...

And as I see it, it is the people against most of the politicians and the people serving them so I see it as a right to insult them as they do not serve the public interest.

    Cheers
