Well, folks . . . you're either a Valli fan or you're not---I'm not, but . . . to each his own.

Just so you'll have some idea of the history of this song, check out the very FIRST, ORIGINAL version, from 1947, sung by Fran Warren, backed by the luscious Claude Thornhill orchestra (on Y.T.). A masterpiece.

I don't care man the harptones or even the temptations, the 4 seasons just have a perfect harmony it's like they were born to sing with each other there sound is the ideal sound that male groups try to have. It's amazing to listen to them, I teach vocals proffesionaly and I hear hundreds of small male groups all over Canada and the USA but nothing is as pleasing to the ear as the origonal 4 seasons.

The 4 Seasons are one of the greatest R n R groups of all time, and this record is fantastic, but the Harptones with Willie Winfield out front cant be beat.

Outstanding cover version of this classic tune! Frankie Valli and the Seasons do a nice job of updating this song. I believe this was recorded in 1965.
