I am no longer a Mormon because I learned that on page 41 of the Pearl of Great Price Joseph Smith very fraudulently identified the egyptian godesses Isis & Maat figures 2 & 4 as "King Pharaoh" and "Prince of Pharaoh" these pictures are very obviously feminine, & can easily be verified to be Isis & Maat through any encyclopedia, internet article, egyptian book etc. Figure 1 is the egyptian god Osiris, not Abraham. Belief will trump truth if a lie is desired 2B believed 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12.
@1stcorinthians1vrs18 Are you serious? You lost your testimony (if you can even say you had one) because of a pagan religion thousands of years ago? Clearly you never had a very good testimony if a simple point drove you away from the Gospel.
@1stcorinthians1vrs18 Pt. 1 Book of Abraham Facsimiles Lecture. look up these video series i had a difficult time under standing the facsimiles in the pearl of great price to. hope this helps.
Do you folks ever listen to each others so called testimonies?! It's as if you're all reading the same script. You sound like robots. When I hear a testimony from a Christian they tell of how Jesus Christ saved them & brought them out of whatever evil they were doing or maybe something that had them bound but now they have been set free! Christ centered NOT church centered.
@barbados199 I think there's a reason that they all sound the same. If they're the same, then we must be on to something. That's pretty lame comment. If they were all different, then obviously we'd be far off from preaching a truth. And everything we teach and do is centered around Christ. Look at the name for proof. At least ours claims it is Christ's. Can the Catholic Church do that?
@hammerogod Faith, Repentance, Baptism. That's the order we teach it and live it. Don't act like you know exactly how our Church is run. And your comment about talking about the church more than Christ is far off. Everything in the Church is centered around Christ and His teachings.
i think you may want to look up the definition of a testimony. if i walked into a courtroom and said "i know that man killed that person because i know its true" ... but that isn't evidence... it just isn't.
a testimony is based on actual observation of events or facts. if you don't have anything outside of "knowing that mormonism is true" then you're using what could be a complete lie as a means to justify itself. don't you see that?
@anonazero A testimony is what you know to be true to the best of your knowledge. If I give a statement in court, it is a testimony. Sounds like you're the one with the wrong definition.
How do you know that Christ lives? Your belief was revealed to you and is your testimony.
Self-affirmation, nice. But if you really, like REALLY dig into the church, you probably won't be able to say what you say now with such conviction, though you may be able to still have some sort of a testimony. It would just be more complex and down to Earth. I went on a mission and in the end, I couldn't do what you did anymore. I just knew too much about the strange parts of the church. This isn't anti, I just find a lot of the church to be less than reasonable, especially modern "prophets."
@cupoftestosterone Sad for you. And shameful for you to believe that you, and only you have found out "the truth". Bud, just cause you can't find something descent to believe in, don't bash me in.
I loved your testimony, and I agree. It reminds me of the great and spacious building from which those who supposedly have so much more than us who are striving to live the gospel yet they are obsessed with us and must make a great effort to mock and put us down as if trying to convince themselves that they are right in doing so. Testimony is a powerful witness, that is what it is. It can not be labeled and put in a box and stored in a shelf it is a living powerful thing.

For every Second a Mormon talks about Jesus he will spend an Hour talking about the Church.
Get 'em to Jesus FIRST dude, then let 'em pick a Church.
Get 'em SAVED, then worry about what Building they sit in on Sunday.
Who cares about what happens in Salt Lake City when all God care about is what happens in the Heart?
Stop pushing Doctrines when God wants Repentance.
Get 'em to read the FIRST Testament of Jesus Christ before you show them 'Another' one.
Now somebody tell me I am anti-Mormon.

So....you know the "church" is true. That's all you talk about...what about Jesus?

@Nutmeg1113 I talk about Jesus in this video. I testify of Him. You can also see my other videos explaining my faith in Christ.

So... it's "I know the Church is true because I know the Church is true."

@aaronshaf2006 Why the quotes? I never said that. I know this Church is true because it has been revealed to me.
